Director Robert Rodriguez’s cyberpunk action film is based on Gunnm, a manga series that was created by Yukito Kishiro in 1993. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, the narrative unfolds in a post-apocalyptic dystopia caused by a technological catastrophe. A scientist (Christoph Waltz) finds and mends a cyborg (Rosa Salazar) who has lost all her memories but retains her mastery of lost cyborg martial arts. The film also features Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, and Michelle Rodriguez in supporting roles.~Augustine Chay

Alita: Battle Angel [Includes Digital Copy] [Blu-ray/DVD]
I love this movie, and the look and quality of this movie so much I went back and purchased the steelbook release, and gifted the standard 3D/4K release to a co-worker.
This is one of title to seek out and purchase! James Cameron & Co have crafted an action-filled world filled with stunning sights and amazing sounds!
This release has it all!
The 4K/UHD media is nothing short of HDR visual splendor and Dolby Atmos Audio perfection
The 3D media brings with it, picture quality bordering upon that of UHD, but with the added, encompassing heightened reality that only 3D can bring! The only downside on on the 3D media is that it does not appear to include Dolby Atmos Audio, which would have made this PERFECTION!
...then there is the standard 1080p 2D Blu-ray, which, if you have read my quick review of the 3D media, is just like it, ...only boring and flat, making me feel sorry for those who do not appreciate quality 3D presentations or those who missed out on the opportunity to land a television which supports both UHD as well as 3D formats.
4K/UHD, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and a UHD Digital Copy all for just under $30?
What are you waiting for!? BUY THIS TITLE!
I missed the 3D version in the theater, so I had to settle for the 2D version. I was impressed with the unique and fresh storyline. The action and the CGI effects were amazing. With the closeup scenes of Alita's face, you'd swear she was a real person. I was thrilled when they announced the 4K release would also include the 3D version, which took the movie to a hold new level. Most 3D releases are fake 3D, created in post production. This movie was actually filmed in 3D and you can easily see the difference. My only disappointment with the disc set is the 4K version had Dolby Atmos, while the 3D version was reduced to DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1. Both audio tracks are amazing in this movie, but I preferred the Atmos track.
Love this movie. I remember judging it bad before but now that I actually saw it, its really good. I really cared about Alita and her story. That ending of a cliffhanger with her story Alita definitely needs her sequel maybe even her trilogy to really understand the entire plot. Soundtrack was amazing too. Definitely recommend this.
Love this steelbook of Alita Battle Angel. The artwork is awesome in that the image of Alita’s hand stands out in the matte black background. It has 3 discs (4k bluray, 3D bluray and bluray) and a digital code. Im glad I pre-ordered my copy online because it is tough to find this steelbook in stores at release day. Now its time to watch it. . .
Love this movie! Finally, a live-action manga/anime adaptation that doesn’t suck! But that’s almost irrelevant for me... I’ve never read the manga, and saw the anime once a long time ago, so I saw this with very little source material to compare. Again, loved this movie! Excellent all around! Only 4K disc I own, because I wanted to see it in 3D (3D Blu-ray) again, and I don’t even own a 4K disc player nor 4K tv. Go buy it! Show your friends and family! Buy it for your friends and family! Talk about it online! Let’s get the planned, well deserved sequel made!
I love this movie! Favorite movie of 2019, and maybe even of all time.
The steel case version is super nice, great detail.
I actually purchased the last Steel Book of Alita in the entire united states, there was no more stock anywhere in the country so that's a little something.
Give the movie a try, you'll like it!
-Movie: One to watch again. Great to see another female as the lead & this time a Latina for a change!
-Picture: 3D/4K combos are the best! Can’t go wrong with Dolby Vision. 3D was average, however not a top one but not the worst.
-Sound: Atmos, could have use more realistic, immersive effects.
-Digital Copy: Yes, full version with D. Vision & D. Atmos.
- Factory packing: The stretchy wrapping that allows me to put a slit & repurpose it as a dust cover.
The only dislike here & it’s a huge one is the fact that the 3D version didn’t have Atmos. That was a massive let down which hence the loss of a star.
-Gear used for sound & visuals:
LG 65’ C6P 4k/3D passive OLED (manually calibrated)
9.2 Onkyo RZ + pre amp for 7.2.4/11.2 (integrated calibrated then manually tweeted with SPL sound level meter & balance/adjust for full dynamic range)

& dual R112SW subs
Polk Audio MC80 8’ quad in-ceiling heights

Monster cables: Premium Black Platinum HDR HDMIs, THX Audio RCA, Digital Subwoofer Cables & Fiber Optic Ultra 1000
Monoprice 14 gauge awg copper speaker wire
Nakamichi Speaker Plugs

I never saw or heard about this movie until a couple months ago. This was a blind buy. This was a really fun and great movie. The picture quality on this is stunning! Definitely reference material. This is at the top of my list only behind Blue Planet 2, as one of the best looking 4K disc’s out today. SteelBook looks great as well.
