First of all, the quality is 1000x better than a laptop camera. The view is also waaaay wider than a laptop camera. The microphone is so nice so that you can have your laptop closed and still do Zoom chats. We also used the microphone to record voice recording for Build a Bears. Definitely worth the buy. Also I didn’t have to install anything.

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love vintage-looking electronics (I have a vintage record player that sneakily has bluetooth capabilities and I even have a bluetooth typewriter), so I was in love with the look of this microphone. Set up of the microphone was seamless and I tested the microphone quality a few times while on work calls, to great results. The webcam wasn't as effective as I struggled to get a clear picture even after troubleshooting. All in all, I'm still thrilled with the microphone and its aesthetic so 1 out of 2 ain't bad :)

The microphone is better than your built in mic but not great for higher quality broadcasting. Great for a kid as a starter unit but not what you would want if you are looking to produce higher content.

The mic was found and functioning right away when connected to any Windows 10 machine I have, Could be just me getting used to it- but it picks up a lot of extra room noise. Need to find the sweet spot still.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my adult son, he uses it on his gaming computer, and on steam, twitch, and other sites, he said the microphone is awesome, and the webcam is great for what he uses it for, I mean it is not top of the line, but it does what it says and what he needs it for. just to stream why he is playing. He said that it is also good for facetime and Zoom calls, He has had it for 3 months now and uses them daily. I was concerned at first because of some of the reviews, I was also afraid that it wasn't going to be good enough for his gaming computer, but it turned out to be a good purchase so far, so all in all I am happy that I got it for him for Christmas.

Q: QuestionDoes this setup also include a speaker for those on zoom to be heard in a room? We are trying to do a hybrid support group meeting for those who can meet in person and on zoom. But atm the people in zoom cannot be heard via laptop speaker.

- A:Answer Yes, it can be mounted to a tripod, but the tripod is not included. It also can mount to a monitor easily. There are two cables, and each is about 4 ft. long.

Q: QuestionWe are looking for a way to record our church pianist at home, and then be able to play back in the church. Does this save recordings for playback and would any external blue tooth speaker do the job? Thanks and any suggestions would be appreciated.

- A:Answer Yes, you can use this to record your pianist. However, it does not come with any software to do this. There are many free & paid options for video capture. Simply do a search for video capture and find a product that will be suitable for you.

Q: QuestionCan the Webcam be used on a laptop that already has a webcam. Can it substituted for the built in cam?

- A:Answer Yes. You may need to check privacy settings. Connect directly to the computer's USB port. Go into Settings > Privacy > Camera and here you can make settings that allow you to use the external USB webcam. Be sure that Desktop App Web Viewer is set to ON. Go into Settings > System > Sound and check the INPUT settings. Here you should be able to check see the audio driver in the pull-down menu and you can monitor audio input. Use the DEVICE PROPERTIES link to set levels. I typically keep the settings of our unit in the office between 75 and 80. But you should adjust to your preferences. Open your Windows CAMERA app and do some recording to check the mic.

- A:Answer The rockets mic connects to a laptop via USB. It needs the drivers found in Windows or Mac OS. It sits on a table and is not mounted.
