I have been a fan of Apple for a long time. But with this purchase I am just left scratching my head wondering why they do certain things. I own a Macbook Pro and an iMac. My wife and I both have had iphones (3,4,5 and 6). It was time to upgrade to the 7 and when we did I didn't bother to read any reviews. We have loved our Apple products. I just went and got the new phones. 2 iPhone 7's. After taking them home I hooked them up to our iMac to sync with iTunes so that we could transfer all of our info from the old phones to the new ones. All I get is an error message: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone7 because an invalid response was received from the device." Googling this in Apple Support does not provide a satisfactory solution. My wife and are not tech rubes. But a brand new phone right out of the box should have the capability of syncing with iTunes so that someone who doesn't have a lot of computer experience can use it easier. It is aggravating to say the least. Computers and technology are supposed to make our lives easier. Not more difficult. How hard is it to write software that will help people?? If you have a lot contacts and other info (pics, notes, and downloaded apps, etc), good luck getting all of it off of your old phone and onto the new one. I also tried connecting to photos on our iMac and on the MacBook. We get another error message: Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone 7" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode. This isn't true. No passcode. Again: aggravating. This is the unhappiest I have been with Apple ever. If we could give it no stars we would. I think maybe writing this review was helpful by way of giving me an opportunity to vent. If you read this far, sorry. I am a very positive person and haven't written a negative review about anything in years. I just hope you have better luck than we did. Better still it would be nice for Apple to come out and fix this.

If anyone is interested to know how the 7 performs compared to the 6 and 6s Camera is a little better and you notice it for sure. It is a lot better in low lights conditions. SPEED, I was using a 6s and I notice a much snappier Safari and iMessage screens. Part of it may be IOS 10 but pages pop really fast. It is way way faster than the original 6. Black looks awesome!!! But is is so slick. There are no lines and it looks like a solid 1 piece product. I saw the Glossy Jet Black and it is a work of art but it show fine scratches. So most people will use a case which hides the back anyway so maybe color is not that important. Mainly if you want a white front or black. I love the new home button, took about 5 minutes to get use to and I don't miss the old home button at all. Any case with a large camera cutout like the CM4 wallet case works with the 7. But most likely all other will not. Some of mine I can cut out around the old camera hole and use it until new cases come out. But I promise you this phone is slippery when dry!! Overall I love it! Fastest device that I have ever used. I can out type the 6s sometimes on reviews but thiamine keep up no problem. 128g is perfect in size for most everyone. Hardcore photo and video people may want the 256g. No headphone jack, doesn't bother me at all. The adapter sounds fine with my expensive headphones. It's not really that large either. The lightning headphones sound really good to me. I tested the same song with the same headphone using a 6s and the 7 with the adapter and I cannot tell the difference. In some ways the 7 with the adpater sounded cleaner and had a little less aliasing hiss from the analog to digital conversion process. So beside have a little while cable sticking out I think the 7 audio is fine. IPhone 4,5, 5s, SE and 6 users will feel a huge speed increase. The 6s is not far off speed wise but it is noticeable to me. No matter how you split up the payment or go with a upgrade contract price, you'll pay full price for any of the phones. It is all just creative math by the vendors. I bought mine outright and got point on my credit card, enough to reduce my price by $25.00. I also heard the Black and Jet Blacks maybe high in demand.

I bought this for my husband. His 5s (which is for work) was severely cracked and bent. We also kept having to transfer his pictures and videos to my laptop, because he kept running out of space, with only having 16 gb. Best Buy had some great specials for financing iPhones and ours was with At&t. I priced them at Best Buy and then went over to the At&t store to make sure there was nothing better there. I turned right back around and went back to Best Buy. Their offer for the iPhone 7 was pretty much half the cost that At&t was charging directly. Don't know why, but whatever. Anyway, I got a super good deal on the monthly payments, no additional contract, and I went ahead and got him the 128 gb, instead of the 32 gb I had planned on, for an extra $100 overall. The phone has been great. I bought him a LifeProof case to make sure he didn't destroy this one. He's not much for technology, but he's enjoying this phone and it does everything he needs. The camera is great. Being an Android girl myself, I get a kick out of the live picture thing on this phone. As far as transferring his stuff over from his old phone, it couldn't have been any easier. I brought it home, hooked it to my laptop, downloaded iTunes, copied his whole phone to it, hooked the other one up, and transferred it ALL to his new phone. It was an exact clone. Perfect! I was impressed. I'm completely happy with the whole thing. Thanks. :)

Gone are the days of waiting in lines to get the new iPhone. Wifey was eligible for an upgrade and saw Best Buy offered same trade in credit as AT&T where 24 Next payments are credited if you turn in a iPhone 6. Essentially the new 2 year contract. She appears happy with the phone but the phone guy knew ABSOLUTELY nothing about the phone or sales process. Luckily the ATT Apple Rep was at the Regis next to me and facilitated the transaction. I no longer use an iPhone but I keep up. He was. Unaware that the ATT and Verizon models are the same but require SIM activatiom. They use Intel modems instead of Qualcomm. He was unaware of the lightning headphone adapter and headphones being included. The most disappointing part of the transaction is that after asking to enter my Rewards Zone number he signs me up for a new account. Really?? He tells me it's just for "New My Mobile." Luckily the Rewards Zone Phone rep cleaned his mess up pretty quickly....but I'll never get that 10 minutes back. The iPhone 7 does not fit cases from the 6 because of the camera cutout. The antenna bands on the back have been moved to the sides. The home button is not a button anymore but gives haptic feedback. The phone is mm's thinner due to the loss of the headphone jack, but you get a larger battery. Wife commented about changes in iOS 10. She got the 128gb Rose Gold.

My iPhone 6 failed me not long after the iOS 11 update. I decided to purchase the iPhone 7 over the 8 for 2 reasons. 1. I could get more storage with the 7 for less $$ per month with AT&T. 2. Apple didn't do anything with the 8 to make me feel like I should purchase it over the previous model. Not interested in the X primarily because I like and want a home button on my device. The iPhone 7 seems to be well built and feels good in my hand. Battery life has been excellent so far. The camera is a strong upgrade from my iPhone 6. My favorite part is the home button. It is made in such a way that it feels as if it is part of the phone frame. The home button on my iPhone 6 felt like a glued on piece of plastic. I also am enjoying the subtle haptic feedback moments throughout the user experience. Well done Apple. My one negative is something that is just baffling to me. The lack of a standard headphone jack. I cannot comprehend the logic behind forcing users to use a dongle to adapt when every other iPhone before it has had both a charger and headphone jack. I am a musician and love premium sound quality and am not satisfied with the supplied headphones and am not happy that I have to use a dongle with my Bose headphones. Not to mention that I can't charge and listen to headphones simultaneously anymore.

My husband and I were discussing our next phone upgrade and we're looking at the SE because we wanted to keep something smaller than the large "mini-tablet" size phones. Going from 5S to the SE seemed like the logical step. A co-worker showed me how her 6S in a minimum case was about the same size as as my 5S in a lifeproof case. Showing my husband the comparable sizes and explaining the water resistance of the new iPhone 7 meant no need for the durable lifeproof case convinced us to get the new iPhone 7 instead of the SE. With the invisible shield glass screen protection and the tech21 case, the phone was only slightly larger than our old phone. So we went ahead with the 128GB to ensure we don't run out of space. This phone is so much faster. The biometrics is enhanced. Graphics are spectacular. The audio is crystal clear an issue we were having issues with our 5S. The way this works with the Bluetooth in our cars is improved as well.

The market has been criticizing this phone for its lackluster changes from the previous version, the 6s. Both the 6s and 7 are great phones with great features. The new home button feels great, the performance has improved as well as the camera, and the battery life is a tad better with its new quad core processor. No it's not a complete redesign, but that's because the current one is so good. If there was one thing I had been hoping for, it was a better screen. Apple makes functional products with good design and build. If you're looking for a sports car that breaks down all the time then look elsewhere. The new matte black looks and feels great in the hand; I would advise caution with the jet black if scratches bother you. This is the best iPhone yet. If you currently have the iPhone 6 this should be a welcomed upgrade. If you're currently on the 6s, you have to make the decision if it's worth it to you; I definitely wouldn't consider the 6s outdated. Many of the carriers are running some great deals that won't last long. Upgrading would not cost as much as it normally does.

I really don't think it is necessary to give you all the awesome specs in detail because there are way too many reviews stating the awesome. This phone is bad a**. I purchased it in Rose Gold and can't nobody tell me nothing! I will just say I am loving the bigger Led Screen. Apple for life! What I will write a review on is the customer service I received at the Best Buy in Rosenberg, TX (Shout Out!) The line was long, we waited forever, and finally it was my turn. "I would like to buy the iPhone 7 128Gb in Rosegold please." Best buy guy turns to grab one and slowly turns around and says, "Ummm, I am so sorry but it looks like we are out." Noooooo! However, another Best Buy guy says, "We just got a shipment in, they have not been unloaded, but I will go get my hands on one for you." YES! YES! YES! Not only did he get me my phone, he also purchased a bottle of water for me because I had been waiting in line so long. Both Best Buy guys made sure I was well taken care of and thanked me for being so patient. It was the end of the night, these guys were tired, I was tired, it could have been a very unpleasant situation after waiting so long. However, they made sure that I knew that my time was important and didn't skimp on the service they provided. Good customer service done right...Thanks Guys! Side note: If you are looking for an unlocked iPhone you have to go to the Apple Store to make your purchase. Best Buy does not sell them unlocked.
