¹The display has rounded corners. When measured as a rectangle, the iPhone XR screen is 6.06 inches diagonally. Actual viewable area is less.
²iPhone XR is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes).
Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions.
Liquid damage not covered under warranty.

Easy Transition

The transition to this phone was relatively simple with many similar functions but many streamlined steps or functions. The Face ID was as easy adjustment for unlocking the phone or to login on websites. The data transfer process was relatively straightforward because of updating my earlier phone to the iCloud. The size is a little larger which is more of a positive than negative give. It fits in my jean pockets and my purse with ease. Because it is larger it is easier to do research or operate other apps. The camera really is great with clear, beautiful shots easily managed no matter the light. I’m very happy with my new iPhone XR.

So basically i got this brand new phone for the price of a refurb 600 dollars. At 749 dollars it was still a descent value but at 600 dollars it's a steal. I love this phone even more than i thought i would. The battery life has been great and that is without using any type of power save mode. One of the best purchases i ever made.

Pretty good camera, but no improvement otherwise

I’m a painter and use the camera a lot for my files. The phone aspect is very disappointing, hardly an improvement over my 6+. It is very slow and sticky. I would not buy it again.

Nice alternative to the more expensive iPhones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a great phone for those who like iPhones, or it's a great choice if you are thinking of switching from Android. Personally I don't need or want more storage space on a phone. I upload my pictures to google photos often so I don't need them stored on my device. This iPhone has pretty much all the same features and functions of the more expensive Xs and Xs Max with a cost savings of $250 minimum. I have had several iPhones but my phone for the past year was a Samsung Galaxy S8. Going from an OLED to an LCD I honestly don't notice a difference on a screen this small, although the screen is quite large for a phone! Also you don't really need the 2nd rear camera since you can still do portrait mode without it and who really takes telephoto pictures with a phone? So far I am extremely happy with this phone and it was super easy to pick up the new gestures since it doesn't have a home button. Also I was skeptical about face ID but so far it has worked really well and hasn't been an issue really.

- A:Answer Two things I can mention are: 1.) XS is physically smaller. This may be a plus or minus for you individually. Check them out in person. 2.) XS has 4 wifi antennae, XR has 2. That means stronger wifi catching capability for XS. I don't know if this has a negative effect on battery life. If you are in a place where the wifi you want has been a weak signal, this might be worth any small additional battery drain. (Searching for wifi is a big battery drain, so more antennae might help there.)

- A:Answer iPhone Xr will not fit into a 7 plus case. Dimensions (length, width, height) are not the same for those iPhones. And the camera lens size and placement are also different. So the openings will not line up for lens or ports. You’ll have to spring for a new case if you’re getting one of the new iPhones: Xs, Xs Max, Xr. I highly recommend Otterbox Defender series.
