I am not your typical gym rat, I am 62 and have lost 100 pounds. I depend on books and podcasts to keep me going. This is a great addition to my Apple tech! Much smaller than my iPhone for the gym, don't get me wrong I love my iPhone it is just too bulky for my picket at the gym. I listen the Apple books, Apple podcasts and music while working hard at the gym!
My 8 year old had an outdated iPad and needed an upgrade. This was a perfect solution for her as it was more compact and satisfied her want for “a phone”. I refuse to buy her a phone at 8 years old however this iPod does everything a Phone’s will do without the cellular service. Can text and FaceTime over WiFi (with parental controls of course). She was able to even get a pop socket. Easy upgrade that satisfies both the parent and child.
I still use an ipod. Its great for listening to ALL my music. However, APPLE seems to be getting less and less user friendly. I used to be able to drag songs on the ipod but now cannot. Ive had ipods since the beginning, and i find iTunes more and more difficult to use everytime there's an update. I never know how to add my new music without losing the old...when it used to be so simple. Also, I'm surprised it STILL costs $200 when the people at Best Buy had to get a ladder to retrieve it from a 10foot shelf bc "no one uses N ipod anymore. They use their cell phone."

iPod touch (2019) Review: The Cheapest iOS Device Has Some Trade-Offs
The iPod touch is a decent option if you want in on the vast array of iOS apps, including those that feature AR but don't want to pay more than $200 for the privilege. But even a used iPhone would give you those benefits, along with longer batteryFull Review
The Rewind: iPod touch 7th-gen — a legitimate Apple Arcade portable gaming machine?
It's been about eight months since I first reviewed the 7th-generation iPod touch , and since that time both iOS 13 and Apple Arcade, two releases that significantly affect the hardware, have been released. How well has the iPod touch 7 held upFull Review
