How to buy AppleCare+ for your iPad

Online

Add your iPad selection to your cart. You will be able to add AppleCare+ during the checkout process.

In store

During checkout, ask for AppleCare+ to be added to your iPad purchase.

Post purchase

Your iPad is eligible to add AppleCare+ up to 60 days after purchase. If you purchased your iPad in store or online, visit a Best Buy store with proof of purchase and receive a visual inspection of it. Alternatively, if you purchased your device online, add directly through your online purchase history. This may be subject to a remote diagnostic inspection and serial number verification.

To ensure that you can sign in and access Find My, it's important to remember your Apple Account and password and keep your account information up to date. If you use two-factor authentication for Apple Account, it's recommended that you add an additional trusted phone number to your account so that you can receive the six-digit verification code required to sign in.

  1. Service coverage is available only for iPad, its original included accessories, and one compatible Apple Pencil or Apple branded iPad keyboard used with your iPad that are defective in materials or workmanship or for batteries that retain less than 80 percent of their original capacity. The replacement equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability. AppleCare+ coverage begins on your AppleCare+ purchase date. AirPort devices must be purchased up to two years before your iPad purchase or during the term of your AppleCare+ coverage.
  2. Local telephone fees may apply. Telephone numbers and hours of operation may vary and are subject to change.
  3. Express Replacement Service is not available under the screen replacement service fee.
