Long delay good picture

When you get a notification about motion the app has a 2 to 5 minute delay before you can see the video sometimes. It synced up with my Google home app but it buffers for a new seconds to a minute before it shows you the live stream. The picture quality is good and so far the battery life is decent but not going to last 6 months on 1 charge. I got it, charged it, and installed it Dec 3rd and today Dec 10th and the battery is at 67% and thats with most of the notifications turned off but I do have dogs that run around my backyard so it detects them a lot

The range is solid with my home internet. It was easy to set up the app and to adjust the direction / aim of the cameras. I am disappointed that it requires a subscription to have access to video moving forward, as the cameras no longer have their own memory cards.

Horrible battery life

They say the battery length is long (up to 6 months) but it is not. It lasts less than a week with minimum movement happening. Arlo does’t sell a wall plug strong enough to charge the battery fully in a short length of time either. They work when they’re charged for 6 days, then you’ll loose a day because it takes about a day to charge. The image quality is good, the light is powerful, they’re easy to set up on an existing arlo account, they're easy to use. I just wish the battery life was better. I have 2 of these and 2 other arlo cameras. They’re all the same with battery length. Once these die on me, I wont be getting arlo again.

At 4:20am it went off and we captured a person trying to get into our cars. I was able to pause and take a still picture for the police. We even got a squirrel going across the driveway. We have 2 routers for WiFi. You need to make sure that your phone and what you are connecting the Arlo to is the same.

- A:Answer If you don’t continue the subscription after the free trial your cameras will not record when triggered. You will only receive a notification that there was motion on a particular camera. Had I known this I would not have purchased these cameras.

Its range limitation depends on the wireless range of the router and the obstructions between their connection. If connected to an Arlo base station/SmartHub, you can place the camera maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the SmartHub or base station. The maximum line-of-sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and base station. ^RM

- A:Answer No, my 3 month trial just ended. I’ve learned that my options are either sign up for cloud service (for I believe $3/mo for one camera or $10/mo for up to four) or use a usb memory stick for local storage in my Arlo hub. Local storage only records, but to view I have to eject & plug into my computer. No remote viewing of a recording. However I will still get alerts and can view live.
