Benefits of Best Buy Protection for newly purchased appliances.

We make house calls.

We'll come to your home if your major appliance needs a repair. In some cases, we may have to replace your product.*

We'll cover up to $300 in spoiled food and medication (per covered failure event).

If your product has a mechanical breakdown, we'll cover spoilage up to $300 per covered failure event. Spoilage due to power outage is not covered; see your plan terms for additional terms and limitations that apply to this benefit. To submit a claim for reimbursement, please use this form.

If there's a failure from normal wear and tear, we'll repair it or replace your product.*

This could be a problem with an internal part or how the product was manufactured. It could also be caused by dust, internal heat or humidity. Accidental damage is not included.

If your product isn't working because of a power surge, we'll fix it or replace it.*

If there's a power surge or fluctuation that damages your product, we'll make things right. This includes a surge caused by a lightning strike.

We'll reinstall your product.

After we resolve what's wrong with your major appliance or air conditioner, we'll reinstall it if we originally installed it.

If you accidentally damage your vacuum while handling it, we'll take care of it.

Enjoy peace of mind knowing that you're covered if the unexpected happens.

If your vacuum battery won't hold a charge, we'll replace it.

Get a replacement for your original non-disposable battery if it fails to hold a charge.

It's easy to get help when your small appliance isn't working properly.

To get help, just bring your small appliance into a Best Buy store. We'll check out what's wrong and get you a replacement (if the product is available) or reimburse you.

How does Best Buy Protection work with your manufacturer warranty?

During the original manufacturer's warranty period, most repairs will be handled by the manufacturer. Keep in mind that Best Buy Protection often covers important repairs that your manufacturer warranty doesn't, like failure due to a power surge.

If something goes wrong after the original manufacturer warranty ends, Best Buy Protection has your back and will take care of any covered repairs.

Food spoilage claim form.

If you need to file a food spoilage claim, please fill out this claim form and email it to [email protected], as that is the most efficient way to get your claim processed. Along with the form, please include copies of the service work order and the original Best Buy purchase receipt.

If you need to mail your documentation, the mailing address can be found on the claim form.

Processing a claim can take up to 30 days. We'll mail you a reimbursement check once we've verified that payment is due.
