Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Second Season [5 Discs] [Blu-ray]

Stories of the mob are always intriguing to me and this one fits the bill. Lots of interesting characters, set in the time of prohibition and women's suffrage, the stories are engaging. It has a bit more nudity that I would care for, so definitely should be rated R just in case kids are around.Although fictional in nature, this show is simply groundbreaking. If you have not yet given it a chance, do so! The sets, character development, and story all leave little to be desired. And of course it doesn't hurt to have HBO and their unlimited budgets behind the show, either.

Great series! Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copy? Def can't go wrong with this one. Plus bought on sale at $35 def worth the price. As usual audio and video quality is great as expected on blu-ray. Packaging is nice and worth the price. Plus the series is great so it's nice to own and not have to stream on HBO or elsewhere.

The second season of Boardwalk Empire was excellent viewing. I enjoyed following along as the story unfolded and presented a historical point of view of early 1920's life and how the prohibition of alcohol shaped America. The characters were brought to life with execellent dialogue, breathtaking scenes and masterful movie making. Recommend highly.

Amazing, Martin Scorsese, and Mark Wahlberg direct this wonderful 1920's "Prohibition" drama! It shows by the detailed backdrops, slang, and music of that period! Bit bloody, but it is a series about Gangsters! Totally addicted and Absolutely, love it!!

This show is loaded with excellent acting and writing!!!!! It's worth watching every minute and shot. Steve Buscemi definitely deserves an Emmy for his portrayal of "Nucky." The characters are well layered and the dialogue is fantastic. The supporting cast is immensely talented and the scenery is simply gorgeous.

I really enjoyed this series. I am a history buff, so I can appreciate the history shown in the series. However, the acting, setting and story are outstanding also. I highly recommend this, but not for viewers that are too young. There is a lot of violence and other things not suitable for children.

Good show, kind of. not really into the racial stuff which makes this historically inaccurate being that there was massive amounts of racial integration and mixed marriages during that time regardless of the laws. but hey...

Watching Nucky come to life is really interesting. The series keeps getting better with each season and does not disappoint. Keep the suspenseful story coming. Cant wait to where this series goes.
