This oven is soooo incredibly difficult to use. Even Bosch themselves cannot figure out how to use it…

In the 2-1/2 months since this oven was installed, I’ve really only used the good old fashioned Bake mode. Functionally, it’s well built and works fine. My reasons for rating it only 4 stars are: (1) I guess that, like any oven that doesn’t provide a vent to the outside, the only place to exhaust the hot, humid air is out the front. So standing directly in front of it gets you a hot breeze. OK, don’t spend al lot of time standing in front of the oven. But open the oven to check, adjust or remove something, the fan blows the hot, moist air right in your face—maybe even fogging your glasses. Really, Bosch, why not have an interlock to shut off the fan when the door is opened? (2) At least on mine, that fan has a moaning whine. I’ll probably put in a service call on this after I’ve used more of the features. (3) The clock/timer is pretty small and has only three buttons to do everything. Plan on keeping the manual handy. There’s plenty of room on the controls area of the front of the oven, so why not provide an easier to use clock/timer, Bosch. Maybe one that gets the time automatically, so I don’t have to check that manual to reset it for the daylight saving time changes?

This is the third oven that I have ordered/ purchased from your company. This oven is too small and the techs wanted to build a filler around the oven to fill in the gaps on the top and the bottom of the cabinet space. The oven was hooked up but was unable to heat due to electrical issues. The tech (subcontracted from Lowe's) wanted $800.00 to rewire the connection, but I explained to him that I would have the electrician return and correct the problem. The tech from Lowe's is now trying to insist that he return on Monday to rewire even though I have explained to him that the electrician is to return to fix the electrical issue. I also paid the installation tech $159.00 to put the filler around the oven. He did NOT complete that work
