Frequently Asked Questions About Photography Classes
Q. How much do the workshops cost?
A. They're free — they don't cost anything.
Q. Do I need to bring a camera to the class?
A. If you have a camera, bring it. If you don't have one, you can still attend and participate, but please let an employee know before the class starts and we will do our best to find one for you to use during the class.
Q. Can I bring another person to the class?
A. To ensure our class sizes are not too big, we limit the class to around 20–25 attendees. Please have that additional person register for the workshop, just as you did. If there is capacity, they can sign up too or get put on the waiting list. If you have any questions, you can also contact the store and speak with someone in the camera department.
Q. When will the next photography workshop take place?
A. We offer free workshops at select stores on the first Saturday of every month, except for December. Check www.BestBuy.com/CameraExperienceShop for upcoming classes and locations.
Q. What if I need to cancel my attendance?
A. When you registered for the class, you received a confirmation e-mail. Within that e-mail is an option to cancel your attendance. If you cannot find that e-mail, please call the store and they can cancel your registration.
Q. The photography workshop is full. Is there a waiting list?
A. Yes, we have a 10-person waiting list. If there isn't a spot available, you can be added to the waiting list. If a spot in the workshop opens up, we will send you an e-mail.
Q. The store doesn't open until 10 a.m., but the class starts at 9 a.m. How will I get into the store?
A. A store employee will greet you at the front entrance of the store and check you into the class.
Q. Can my child attend?
A. Children 13 and older may attend with parent or guardian permission. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please register your child for the workshop, just as you would for yourself.
Q. Will there be chairs to sit on during the class?
A. Each store is different, but we will do our best to provide chairs for those who cannot stand for the duration of the class.
Q. What if there is inclement weather on the day of the class?
A. We want to make sure everyone remains safe, so if you are concerned with traveling to the store, please consider staying home and signing up for next month's workshop. The decision to cancel a class may come at the last minute, but if we know ahead of time, we will send a cancellation e-mail. Always feel free to call the store if you have any questions.
