Be suspicious of messages that claim to come from your bank or an official source, like the IRS or Post Office, and ask for information. Find another way to contact the bank or agency to ask if the request is real. If the email has a link, don’t click it.

Additionally, emails, websites, and messages can contain malware, which is why it is crucial to use antivirus software on all of your devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets and phones.
