Elex 2 is a sequel to an historical culmination of fine German RPG Fantasy (See Gothic). Being the vast third person RPG it is, it does carry some jank and not much improvement from its predecessor. The melee combat is a little tighter vs. Elex 1 but still can be improved. The map is impressively big. The enemies and environments are colorful. BUT, there is a great deal of frame stuttering and the engine, including textures, are ridiculously outdated. The jank and dated approach is charming and shows a lot of heart. I do wish they quadrupled, downed on finding unique loot in the world. One of the great things about Fallout 3, Elden Ring, and even GTA is simply incentivizing finding cool, unique loot in the world. Anyway, looking forward to the next title!
