Q: Is it weatherproof?

A: Hi Karen - this appliance is considered weather-resistant. It should not be fully exposed to the elements, but installed or stored under partial cover.

Q: will a windy snow storm tip it over? How far does the heat reach? If the heater element goes out, are there replacements available and how hard is it to change?

A: Yes if the wind is strong enough. This unit is electric. You would not want it outside in a snow storm. Heats about 5 or 6 feet on either side of it. Adequate for 2 people "social distancing."
