A: AnswerI just read an article on Cnet . com that says: "Unlike traditional smokers and pellet grills, no significant amount of smoke escapes the chamber of GE Profile's new appliance, which is sized to live on your countertop. Instead, wood-pellet smoke is filtered through an advanced catalyst converter, allowing heat and smoke-flavored hot air to cook and add flavor to the food inside. - A: AnswerYes, it has an exhaust fan output right below the door (above the counter protector). For us, the exhaust smells strongly like a campfire, this is with cooking on a smoke level of 5. It was enough to cause a burning sensation in our eyes and nose during the day while the cooking was going on.

A: AnswerHi - Thanks for reaching out to us with this great question. According to the model/serial tag, this unit is rated at 1400 watts and 120 volts. The amperage draw is approximately 11.7. That said, during the course of a cooking cycle, it is possible for the smoker to temporarily draw slightly more amps. - A: AnswerHello - The temperature range for cooking/smoking in the Indoor Smoker is 170F to 300F, though Keep Warm for already cooked foods can go down to 140F. We don’t list out the default temperatures for the six preset cooking modes. They are preset to the recommended settings for certain types of food, but we encourage you to change them to whatever temperature you prefer. The beauty of the Indoor Smoker is that you can change the default to whatever temperature between 170F and 300F you want to use and the machine will remember that new temperature for the next time you use that preset. You also have the ability in the SmartHQ app to create favorites and send those to the Indoor Smoker. We hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have additional questions. Best purchase ever - you won't regret it!
Definitely the best purchase I have ever made for my kitchen. The GE Indoor Smoker may be smaller than most traditional outdoor smokers but it does a better job of smoking meat than any other smoker I've worked with. Additionally, I find I go through far less pellets with this than I do on my Traeger, yet I achieve better overall results with this than my Traeger. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants an efficient, and easy smoker that's convenient to use. Before I had this smoker I would smoke something 2-3 times per month, now I use this 2-3 times per week and it gets more use than even my stove. 10/10 rating for me.

Hreat appliance.
Awesome appliance, nice to smoke indoors during the winter. Wish it was a little bigger but if it was it probably wouldn't be a countertop appliance. Good smoke, easy clean up.

Big Flavor in a Small Package
I’ve only had a it short time, but it has done an impressive job thus far - both in terms of flavor and smoke mitigation. Time will tell with future cooks, but it has definitely added a pronounced smoke flavor on what I’ve made to date. My only question going forward would be how it holds up to long term use, as the filtration system and gaskets are vital to its successful use. I am also pleased that it doesn’t take up too much space. While I have it on a cart, it would easily fit on my counter. I gave it a 4/5 for value, as it was on an introductory sale when I purchased it.
