Q: Is this a new unit in a apple box?
A: it is not. it came in a bubble wrap type thing - with the serial number and model and specs on a sticker on the box. The packaging was secure enough and said fragile but it’s hard to trust it was treated as such. I’m pretty disappointed in this product though. it’s kind of apparent that the the screen was replaced as it has weird chromatic patterns that are consistently present - the battery health is at 90%. That would be about 12 hours of usage upon full charge which definitely isn’t a good value for almost $600. I do believe you can get lucky purchasing geek squad certified products - However in this instance i did not. i’m going to try it for a few days - as i picked it up to use strictly for school work- so i can clear space on my macbook pro - but yeah i feel like for the price and the value. i would be better off with a chromebook for school for $200
Q: Which should I buy? A MacBook M1 with 512 GB or a M2 with 256?
A: M1. I was watching a YouTube reviewer months ago and he demonstrated that the M2 runs in such a way that it bogs down in some situations, even slower than the M1. This is due to only 8GB of RAM. The 16GB RAM M2 is okay. So if you can't get a 16GB RAM M2, it's better to get the 8GB RAM M1.

Green smudge
The screen has a little green smudge on it but everything came well speakers work well and laptop runs fine so far and came with the original charger just the smudge is annoying

BEST LAPTOP EVER!
I LOVE THIS LAPTOP! so far I have used my laptop for school and it works so good. I love the feature the Macbook has and the quality of this laptop.

Really good deal!
I got mine in perfect cosmetic condition, charger and cable are pretty scuffed up, but no big deal. The only thing is that I got mine at 90% battery health which pretty low for only 24 Charging Cycles, but I also got it for $530, so can’t complain there.
