Is this a new unit in a apple box? null

it is not. it came in a bubble wrap type thing - with the serial number and model and specs on a sticker on the box. The packaging was secure enough and said fragile but it’s hard to trust it was treated as such. I’m pretty disappointed in this product though. it’s kind of apparent that the the screen was replaced as it has weird chromatic patterns that are consistently present - the battery health is at 90%. That would be about 12 hours of usage upon full charge which definitely isn’t a good value for almost $600. I do believe you can get lucky purchasing geek squad certified products - However in this instance i did not. i’m going to try it for a few days - as i picked it up to use strictly for school work- so i can clear space on my macbook pro - but yeah i feel like for the price and the value. i would be better off with a chromebook for school for $200

No, if its refurbished as described it is as such, buying it brand new will definitely set you back twice or more as the price shown.
