Missing Washer - Pump doesn't work
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only gave this 3 stars because although it removes plenty of moisture from the air the pump doesn't work. Customer service (not Honeywell by the way) says that a washer is missing. I'm still waiting for this washer. Perhaps after I get it I'll revise this review.

Automatic defrost pros/cons
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it has been a good unit with taking the moisture out of the air. I bought this unit specifically because it has an automatic defrost in it, because my previous dehumidifier would frost over on the filter. But because of the defrost capability it will periodically blow very warm air out of the top and thereby for a time, heat up the room it is in.

Posted .Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear you're satisfied with the performance of our Honeywell Dehumidifier. You are right - when the dehumidifier is switched ON, a fan pulls moisture-laden air into the dehumidifier where it passes through dehumidifying coils inside the unit. These coils condense moisture from the air and collect it in the water tank. The dry air is then exhausted from the dehumidifier, as warm, dry air. Best Purchase!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so pleased with this purchase. This works very effectively and has made me a lot less stressed about a damp basement. I like it so much that I have interest to purchase another for the upstairs. I bought the bigger one for a small space and happy that I did and also recommend for those debating. I am very satisfied with all my Honeywell product purchases.

Great Dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit works as promised down to it being able to push the water to a drain or sink instead of having to rely on gravity. I am not sure how accurate the humidity gauge is - the one on the unit shows the humidity as being higher than on my free standing one, but that is not an issue. Once I figure out which is more accurate, I can adjust the setting on the dehumidifier accordingly if it turns out my free standing humidistat is more accurate.

Works fine.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the unit about a week but so far, so good. The only issue was that there is no user manual included and I had to download one. Beware that if you use the vertical pump, you need to have the unit set in "continuous" mode. The warranty is nice, and I also have Total Tech from Geek Squad to protect the unit.

Best to have a back up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one is still in the box as a backup. I already have one like it (have had it about 6 months) and it works well. I have a another from of a different brand that I don’t expect to last very long, thus the back up.

The verticle pump is worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to set the unit to shut off after 5 hours because it doesn't stop automatically and was heating up the basement. I ran the vertical pump line through the wall to my furnace humidifier lift pump. That has a direct pipe to my laundry sink. Now I don't have to empty the collection tank every other day. The pump makes a unique noise until it is done. The basement smells fresher now.

Posted .Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear you're satisfied with the performance of our Honeywell Dehumidifier. Once you set a level of humidity on the unit, the compressor will shut off. The fan will also shut off after an additional 5% drop in the humidity level. You may need to check the set humidity level, in order to ascertain why the unit was not automatically shutting off. Q: QuestionWhat is a vertical pump? I do not see that on other dehumidifiers listed. Does it have a connection for a hose or is that not necessary with a vertical pump
Asked by talon.
- A:Answer With a a vertical pump the hose can slope upwards and drain to a higher location. Without a pump, the hose must slope downwards to drain.

Q: QuestionDoes the pump work continuously drawing power? Or does it only turn on when the collector basin reaches a certain level?
Asked by interestedbuyer.
- A:Answer Hello, when using the pump feature on the dehumidifier it does not use the holding tank, it pumps the water out of the unit as long as it is running and then stops pumping when it reaches the set humidity level.
Answered by Jody
Q: QuestionHow high does the vertical pump go?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Not sure but I have about 25-30 feet of tubing hooked up to mine which runs straight out the back of the unit about 4 feet then makes a bend and goes straight up about 7 feet, then flat across my ceiling ducts then down into a sump pump and has no problem.
