Missing Washer - Pump doesn't work
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only gave this 3 stars because although it removes plenty of moisture from the air the pump doesn't work. Customer service (not Honeywell by the way) says that a washer is missing. I'm still waiting for this washer. Perhaps after I get it I'll revise this review.

Good job removing moisture. Has some problems.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does a good job of removing moisture from the air. The pump works but is noisy. Because the pump removes water from the top of the bucket, the pump runs frequently. I have another dehumidifier like this one which has been in use for over a year. The problem I found is that the bucket needs to be manually emptied fairly often to avoid the build up of black scum in the bucket (which will block the pump intake. I didn't realize that this was a problem until the pump stopped working. Lastly, the plastic line (used to pump the water to a drain) that comes with the unit is coiled up (for shipping) so it fits in the bucket. The problem is that is impossible to straighten it out completely. So don't expect it reach the full 15 feet.

Don’t Buy a Honeywell Dehumidifier!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honeywell should stick to making industrial & HVAC products. This poorly manufactured product is one I regret buying. It leaked water out of the box, which was due to the water-tank having a badly seamed/molded bottom. I used a patch & resin-adhesive to repair it. After the 1st season, the pump stopped working, but when it did work it strained to eject water to a height of 3-feet. And from day one it leaks water…A Lot of water, onto the floor. It’s not due to a leaking tank, however, but simply because of poor engineering. The way they designed the lid of the tank allows water to run off of it, instead of Into it! I have to pick up a soaked towel and change it daily. Here’s my advice…Buy A Different Brand!!!

Clear indicators
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup was easy with the clear instruction booklet. Fairly quiet in both low and high speeds. Vertical pump lets me pump the water out my window. Only had it for about a month so I can't say much about reliability

The dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave it a 4 strictly because the pump on this thing works it’s just either or. Some times I have to dump the chamber and others it will pump out water itself for days on end. Works great and reduces humidity by 40%. The noise level is noticeable if you are within a few feet from it. I have it in another area of the house by a sink drain and rarely hear it.

Lower humidity means lower energy bills.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Honeywell Energy Star 50-pint dehumidifier is working well for us after a month in Florida's humidity. We do not have floor drains in our house, and we did not want to have to empty the reservoir every day (several times a day,) so we returned the first model that we bought and exchanged it for one with a pump. The pump pumps the water into a bathroom sink drain, so we never have to worry about emptying the reservoir, giving us peace of mind that the humidity will stay below 50% even if we are not home for a few days. The unit has worked flawlessly, except that it is louder than we had hoped. It is worth it, though, since we were able to raise our thermostat and still be comfortable with the lower humidity. I would definitely buy this unit again. I hope that it lasts a long time.

Great dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great dehumidifier but i wish ut was wifi compatible. Quiet running. We hooked up the hose & the water gets pumped to outside our house so we don't have to empty the water bucket.

Q: QuestionWhat is a vertical pump? I do not see that on other dehumidifiers listed. Does it have a connection for a hose or is that not necessary with a vertical pump
Asked by talon.
- A:Answer With a a vertical pump the hose can slope upwards and drain to a higher location. Without a pump, the hose must slope downwards to drain.

Q: QuestionDoes the pump work continuously drawing power? Or does it only turn on when the collector basin reaches a certain level?
Asked by interestedbuyer.
- A:Answer Hello, when using the pump feature on the dehumidifier it does not use the holding tank, it pumps the water out of the unit as long as it is running and then stops pumping when it reaches the set humidity level.
Answered by Jody
Q: QuestionHow high does the vertical pump go?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Not sure but I have about 25-30 feet of tubing hooked up to mine which runs straight out the back of the unit about 4 feet then makes a bend and goes straight up about 7 feet, then flat across my ceiling ducts then down into a sump pump and has no problem.
