A: Everybody's answers are good ones. I myself am closing in on 70 and fullly sympathize, so I would like to add another couple of possibilities: 1) You can buy an external keyboard; this is usually white letters and numbers on a black background, so more conventionally easy to read, but can also be purchased with backlighting, but is more troublesome to carry around. 2) Another option is a USB LED light. I don't know if Best Buy has these, but they are available elsewhere if need be, and work well. They attach to the laptop port (or a hub, if you prefer) and are flexible, like a gooseneck lamp. LED lamps means they are long lasting and use little battery , while producing little heat.
Q: how many ports in this laptop

A: "S" mode can be disabled, allowing you to install programs from any source. Once disabled, it cannot be re-enabled.

A: There is not a second m.2 slot, but you can replace the existing drive with a drive that has more capacity. You can also purchase a cable and a 2.5 inch sata hard drive if you want a second drive. The cable p/n is M75893-001.

Love it!
I absolutely love this laptop. I had to make a rush purchase for college with just a day prior to class starting! I do have to say I am very impressed at the speed and options this laptop has. Plus the large screen is awesome and no more squinting to see what I am working on. I included a snippet (included) of what my desktop looks like. Highly recommend!

HP 17.3 inch laptop
The HP 17.3 inch was a very pleasant surprise. With the features it comes with such as 8 gigs of ram, a 250 GB sad, and a 2.40 GHZ CPU, I didn't expect a whole lot. The laptop was on sale for $399 dollars which didn't add to my confidence level. I decided to gamble on it anyhow and I absolutely love it. I did upgrade the ram to 16 gigs and this machine is a monster. The video is superb. Extremely clear graphics and very responsive. I am a web developer and use it to do coding. I do not game on it and I'm not sure if it would be good for gaming, but as an everyday business use machine, it is spectacular. Keyboard is not backlit so it becomes a small bit difficult to use in low light areas. Battery seeks to hold a charge for several hours, but not much longer.
