Long Term Printing Savings
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This is the correct inkjet for my HP ENVY 6055e Wireless Inkjet Printer. I prefer the black and color XL inkjet cartridges because they last so much longer than the regular cartridges. Even though the XLs are a little more expensive to purchase, the overall printing cost is actually a savings in the long run.

- A:Answer The HP 67 Black ink cartridge can print up to 120 pages, and the HP 67XL black ink carridge can print up to 240 pages. The HP 67 Tri-color ink cartridge can print up to 100 pages and the HP 67XL tri-color ink cartridge can print up to 200 pages. In this case the XL cartridges deliver twice the number of pages of the regular cartridges.

Q: QuestionI'm looking to purchase a printer for home use but printing would be occasional. What is the 'shelf life' of an inserted/installed cartridge?

- A:Answer Thank you for your question! It's difficult to tell what the life of an ink cartridge will be when not in use. I highly recommend printing a "test page" every week or two to keep things flowing and in good condition. If you will not be printing for months at a time, I would highly recommend a LaserJet that uses toner rather than ink, as toner doesn't dry up over time.
