Cheap and it works, cheers.
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I think my NVMe SSD got fried somehow or the M.2. slot was the issue, so I instead bought a SATA III SSD. It didn't come with a SATA III cable, so I got these. I haven't had a problem so far. Does exactly as it's advertised. The only 1 minor inconvenience is the L shape on one end. Picture attached because it's far better than putting it into words

Insignia™ - 2' SATA III Hard Drive Cable
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Since moving, I can't find anything, This was bought to use on the Samsung - 870 QVO 2TB SATA 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive Single Unit Version in which I replaced from the internal Dell Alienware I bought for the 2nd hard drive. The speed difference is amazing and reduces the bottleneck with the internal NVME.

Good product and good price!
||Posted .I was adding 2tb of storage to my pre built and there wasn’t another data cable. Luckily Best Buy had next day pickup and the cable was at a cheap price! Now I can have an extra 2tb of storage for my prebuilt.

Value in a Cable
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Purchased this cable to use as part of a diagnostic process. Kept it in the computer because of the superior construction of the latching mechanism. Cheap and effective.

A good SATA cable that stays on well.
||Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed. When I built my PC ten years ago, I installed SATA cables that did not have the metal clips on them. I've come to regret doing so over the years as I've actually had hard drives and optical drives mysteriously stop working. Upon opening up the case and checking things out, I discovered that the SATA cable for it had wiggled loose over time, no doubt due to the vibrations that are normal during computer use. I tried getting away with just plugging the cable back in, but I've had this happen again several times over the years. I finally decided to try to do something to prevent it. I replaced a few of my SATA cables with ones a lot like these a year ago and found that it prevented the cable from coming loose. So, I've bought this one from Best Buy to complete the change from the old style to this new style. This SATA cable that I bought is just as good as the ones I got somewhere else last year. I like that the two foot length gives me plenty of cable to reach from the SATA controller on the motherboard up to the farthest away optical drive in the case (an Antec Nine Hundred - which is pretty big). I had enough length left over that I could weave the cable around so that it wouldn't get in the way of other components. This cable seems to be made of good quality materials and has not wiggled loose yet. I've not noticed any difference in data transmission between the motherboard and the optical drive that it is plugged into either, compared to the old cable.

Q: QuestionDoes this cable work with the SAMSUNG 870 EVO SSD?
Asked by Joseph.
- A:Answer Joseph My onboard SSD was not working and certainly was not large enough so Geek Squad used this connector to hook up a 2TB Samsung 870 QVO SATA 2.5" Quality and Value Optimized SSD for me. The model MZ-77Q2T0B/AM SSD has a read speed up to 560MB/s and a write speed up to 530MB/s. "Q" vs "E" look to be the only obvious difference between what you question asked and any information I can offer. However, I am not sure what "Q" and "E" signify. I cannot imagine them designing a similar but slightly different SSD that would require its own cable format because, to me it seems doing so would or could make the hard drive harder to sell. I could be wrong though. I have seen odder maneuvers; but not in the last say 10yrs or so though. In the last 10 yrs or so, interchangeable peripherals has become the preferred method or approach. v/r Astra
