- A: AnswerYou do not have to do a single layer; however I have found that it crisps better if you do. Nice thing about this one is it has a basket with 2 layers for air frying. If you are cooking from raw, you can pressure cook and then air fry for the crispness in the same pan. The only drawback I have found is the top layer for the airfryer basket is a little tricky to remove when you need to turn food (technically you don't have to but I like to). I love mine and use it several times a week. This is a great appliance and I am not sure how I have managed for so long without one.

- A: Answeryou do not need a rice setting, in fact, I don't recommend it. Look for recipes online. I do: 2cups white rice, 2 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon butter or vegan substitute and pressure cook on high pressure for 5 min.
