Consumed by rage after watching his family get viciously slaughtered by a demonic beast, an angry plumber receives a chance to redeem himself after inadvertently unleashing an ancient evil. As a young boy, Jack Brooks' entire life was forever changed during a fateful camping trip. Having survived the slaughter by simply turning heel and running as fast as possible, Jack simply cannot forgive himself for allowing his fear to take over. These days, Jack (Trevor Matthews) is a local plumber with some serious rage issues. One day, while attempting to repair some pipes for Professor Crowley (Robert Englund), the hotheaded handyman awakens an evil the likes of which this world has never seen. Later, Professor Crowley is drawn to this evil energy, and compelled to consume a black heart that possesses his soul, and transforms his body. Now the evil has spiraled out of control, leaving one hapless, haunted plumber to finally harness his all-consuming anger for the powers of good, and face the forces of darkness that once robbed him of his entire family.~Jason Buchanan

Wow, this movie caught me by surprise.
I picked it up mainly 'cuz I'm a sucker for anything with Robert (Freddy Krueger) Englund in it, no matter how low-budget or campy it might be... and this movie is both of those things. But don't get me wrong, I mean that that in a good way. The production looks great for what they were working with. The monster effects are solid and have this kinda cartoony look to them(intentionally). Reminded me of something out of Peter Jackson's "Dead Alive". It shows how good filmmakers can make a movie look great, even without truck-loads of money. It's called dedication and artistry.
And as for the campyness, well, it rings similar to the Horror movies from my childhood that I love, like "Evil Dead 2" or "Monster Squad". It's just, all and all a good- -old-fashioned horror flick with a lot of great humor thrown in for good measure. Solid horror, solid FX, solid acting and it has a great feel to it. It's just plain fun.
The only complaint that I have about this movie, is that it wasn't long enough, but then again, all the good ones never are(or don't seem like it). But at least the ending leaves room for a sequel, so...
If you're looking for some entertainment this Halloween, I'd definitely recommend this movie to anyone who knows, and loves their horror flicks. Because this one's for us.
