      Great Quality Speakers

I got these speakers installed on the rear deck of my 2006 Honda Accord. Along with the GX963s, I also purchased the GX600C component speakers for the front. These speakers made a major difference from the premium stock speakers they replaced. I did not replace anything else in the vehicle. It is important to note that my vehicle did have a stock external amp that powers all the speakers, so this has more power than non-premium audio vehicles. If you are wanting to upgrade to these speakers, make sure you have sufficient power to do so. These speakers run at 2.3 ohms (NOT the common 4 ohm load that other manufacturers use). I now have a lot more bass and the highs are more clear with no distortion at high volume. In fact, I feel a subwoofer would be overkill in this setup. I would also like to mention that Best Buy carries all the common sizes for the JBL GX series. If you mix sizes, as I have (6x9s with 6.5"), they compliment each other very well. JBL is part of Harman Audio. With that, there is also an Infinity line of speakers. Though they are marketed as the "higher-end" brand, I do not feel that there is a major difference in quality, especially for the price. I got these installed at Geek Squad, and they did an excellent job. Though the website has no mention of bundle pricing, if you purchase speakers and installation at the same time, you will save money. I ended up saving about 25% from the original bill. There is no real way of telling how much you will save until everything is totaled out. Overall, I would recommend these speakers over all the other brands that Best Buy sells.

I consulted with Audio Installer Mike Pieceynski Best Buy store 1451 for my 2016 Nissan crew 4door. I knew I wanted to use the Alpine PDX 400w amp instead of replacing my factory head and a compact sub under the seat. He suggested the JBL BassPro 8” sub and JBL 6x9 3 ways in the front door panels and JBL 6.5 2 ways in the rear. I wanted clarity, every acoustical detail, like a live stage. He set the door speakers to mid and high only and w/ bass phased out of them. I listen to music using high end Sennheiser headphones and the reproduction of this setup in my truck is amazing (proper acoustic staging in an auto is impossible) but this sounds pretty awesome. It sounds like the bass is coming from the speakers but its coming from the rear sub. It’s not booming bass. Its accurate studio recorded bass. Vocals are clear and in front, guitars soar. Keyboards and percussion are separated, and bass is solid on the bottom. Not all albums are produced the same, some good and some muddy, but this delivers clean live studio sound across almost all genres (I listen to a lot of West Coast Reggae, Rock, etc and equalizer set to Dance). The JBL speakers are awesome!!! Not sure how they sound stock without the bass phased out but I would totally recommend them. I did massive research on all the high-end brands and these are up there... but even better value.

      Excellent speakers

Bought a pair of these to replace factory (junk) in the front doors of my 2014 Xterra. The factory head unit is decent, but the tuner leaves out a lot of the treble, These speakers really brightened things up. Also, the 6 speaker system was supplied with 2 ohm 6x9's in the front doors, so this was the only thing I could find locally that would work. These are 2.3 ohms, so TAKE NOTE - some head units will not tolerate less than 4 ohms, and you could damage things. They sound pretty good using XM or the radio, but really shine with CD's and external media players. Just using the factory head unit, they sound phenomenal with a sub, but would probably be even better if amped. One ding off for mostly pictures in the manual, and BB didn't have them in their demo rack - I went by reviews instead.

      JBL Car Speakers

I had Geek Squad installed 2 pairs on my Camry XLE 2014 last week. Overall, the sound is around 50% better than the stock speakers. More treble, a little more bass but don't expect it will break your neighborhood's windows. However, when I open widely all four door in my 2 car-garage, the music is coming out really impressive and sounds much better it does in the car. I wish that kind of sound could be in my car, not in the garage! That's why it has 4 stars. If you want to install it by yourself, you properly need 2 pairs of spacers, or reuse the stock spacers, which is a pain. Because you have to cut out the speakers (speakers are molded in the plastic spacers) and garbage it. In short, it does sounds better, but is it worth to replace the stocks? It depends on how much you pay for parts and service as a whole. By the way, I am very pleased with Geek Squad Orlando (Florida mall); especially, Carlos had demonstrated an Excellent Service!

Excellent In My 2006 Dodge Ram

I usually don't write reviews, but I feel these speakers deserve some praise! I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 and was looking to improve the sound system. I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to install a new stereo so I took a chance with these higher end speakers and I couldn't be happier! I put the 6x9 speakers in the front doors and got the matching 6 1/2 inch speakers for the back doors and the system sounds great. The speakers don't distort at all even at maxed out volume. For reference my last 2 trucks I have installed new stereos with amps and these speakers on the stock stereo are just as clear and crisp as my last 2 trucks. It obviously isn't as loud without an amp, but I am very satisfied with my purchase!

I was looking to replace the 6x9 speakers in the rear deck as well as the doors of my 2015 Charger RT. due to the climate control and other features being integrated into my stock stereo, I wanted speakers that could hold their own without requiring upgrading my OEM head unit. I read a LOT of reviews online as I am a musician and a serious audiophile. Ultimately I bought and tried the Kicker KSC equivalent as well as the Alpine equivalent. These JBL's CRUSHED everything else! I replaced all 4 speakers with these and it is night and day from the stock speakers! Absolutely KILLER sound!!!

I got two pairs for my 2012 Ford Escape, but I forgot to look to see if they would fit, they didn't. So I returned one pair, and cut the holes bigger in the front doors, and these speakers are awesome. I'm using stock radio and factory sub in the back, and I also put some JBL GX862 in the back doors, those obviously don't add any bass, but in all its enhanced the sound quality. Now, these are not going to add so much bass that your chest will collapse, so get real on all that noise, but they do add extra clean bass, and nice mids, maybe it's it's because I just have the stock radio running everything, but the highs are lacking a little. All in all, I'm very happy with my setup, I'm past the glass shattering bass, I just enjoy really hearing my music, and these speakers more than get the job done

I installed these in my 2014 Infiniti Q60 in place of the Bose factory 6x9 woofers in the rear deck. The factory amplifier is in the trunk where spare tire is, near rear of trunk, drive meme side. It has a low pass filter built in so I added am external 400w per channel (2 ohm load) Pioneer amp, tapping directly into the line level input to the factory amp. These sound great but are lacking in low midrange. They compliment the factory 3 way component speakers up front and the rear mid-high speakers in the rear arm rests. The highs are very clear, low distortion, and crisp, They drastically improved the dull, flat sound of the Bose mids/highs. Factory speakers are clear but lack definition.
