A: There is no control.
Q: the gummy ear buds constantly fall off and get lost. How can I get a replacement set?
A: I use the caps from other random pairs that I may not use from other sets. Otherwise I can't see how you'd find replacements that would be worth buying.
Q: Work with laptops or desktop PCs?
A: They should work just fine. The normal size for the jack is 3.5mm and is pretty standard across the board on computers, ipods, phones, etc.
