Q: how many watts does it have?

A: Interesting specs on this speaker. 30 watts RMS (root mean squared) mean 30 watts is its continuous play ability. 30 watts is 70.7% of its peak ability of 42.5 watts (round up). This is 30 X 100 / 70.7 = 42.43281471 . Peak to peak would be twice that at 84.8656294201 watts. No where near 300 watts. Somewhere above peak to peak is a value called instantaneous peak to peak at which the speaker, if held there for more than an instant (very short second) would burn out. That may very well be 300 watts for this speaker. Hope this helps. Seems I did retain some of my college training.
