LG CordZERO=Undeniably High ROI
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since my home is not suitable for the most recent iterations of robot vacuums and I am unwilling to wait for the humanoid robotics of Boston Dynamics and/or Elon's Optimus, hands on vacuuming remains a regular part of my home hygiene routine. Now more than ever, with the advent of cordless solutions, I have become less and less resistant to the task. I so much loved an earlier cordless stick vac that I had one on two floors. Old battery time was only 20 min as compared to the NEW A9 CordZERO at: 40 min on normal mode with nozzle; 50 min on normal, tool only; 6 min on Turbo; 11 minutes on Power mode. Takes approximately 4 hours to charge. Moreover, updated battery tech of the A9 holds a charge so no worries that you would have to recharge the battery if left off the charging stand. Lots of thoughtful design went into the sleek, modern LG A9 upgrade that would suit any decor. This Next Gen version is another level of relief that affords an expansion of applications previously hindered by emotional resistance experienced when time came to use the old corded, heavy vacuums. Nozzles include: UNIVERSAL, HARD FLOOR, PET, BEDDING/ CREVICE/COMBO BRUSH_CREVICE The ease of tool head switch outs into the handy short configuration makes quick duty of those quirky nooks, crannies, and corners that were a cord-tangling headache or fettered by a lack of flexibility to get under tables in dated stick vac designs. With greatly reduced hindrance, fast hit those sticky wickets such as: Car interiors Baseboards Basketweaves & Tightly Woven Cane Books Upholstered crevices As well, to prevent diminished performance and early death of large and small electronics, I find the short form of the vac extra handy in sucking up accumulated layers of dirt in the vents of portable heaters, air filters, a/c supplies and returns. The unit also inspired a shift in behavior that creates a reduction in time spent on cleaning: I ditched the manual dusting with a cloth or sponge and now dust flat surfaces with the A9 brush tool, as well eliminating the need to lift and move the majority of 'tchotchkes'. A one click tool detachment allows a fast switch to the telescoping extension, allowing me to set personal preferences for my height (5'7") in cleaning stairs, carpets, floors, etc or to reach high places such as drapes, walls, ceilings, etc for cobwebs and insects. The unit really puts an almost effortless spin on a chore that was, at one time, a grind especially when having to lug the heavy housing of a corded motor between floors and across furnishings. That's right! The technology to achieve the level of suction characteristic of the old units has now been compressed into a lightweight, easy to wield magic wand. While underway, the unit is top heavy and cannot stand unsupported during a break. Important that I be mindful not to lean the unit when mounted on its telescoping attachment in any manner that it would fall to the floor. Maybe a body harness would mitigate that potential so the unit can hang on the hip, allowing both hands to be free when necessary. Among other aspects of the unit's maintenance, love having the TWO dust filter baskets to rotate; so, when one is drying after a wash, the other is ready to go. First thought was that I couldn't envision a solution to eliminate frequent emptying of the small A9 dirt bin after every 2-3 uses (at my usage level); but, I scanned the LG QR code for The Latest A9 products, one of three codes that also includes access to Tips from Users with a Community Forum and A Troubleshooting Guide, I found the solution to my Con had already been addressed in another model. My issue with the small bin was solved by an array of LG higher end models that indeed eliminated frequent emptying of the dust bin with an automatic dirt dumping tower with a receptacle integrated at the charging station. You pay for higher levels of convenience; so comparison shop to suit your level of economic tolerance and to satisfy your peculiar technology standards. More sophisticated models include APP driven device management features such as Thin Q for access to Alexa, Google Assist, use history, diagnostics, et al. The A9 arrived in handsome, high impact resistant packaging that afforded easy unboxing. Assembly is intuitive but be sure to READ THE MANUAL because there are some guidelines about storage, cleaning, battery management, and operation that would prevent regrettable damage that comes with 'know it all' hubris. Rather than do a wall mount, I did the super simple stand mount for quick start up and ease of portability in the future. Registration was a snap of the manual's camera icon texted to 77228 while online is another option. The A9 CORD ZERO has raised the bar in the cordless vac space and given me more to love about our evolution into cordless electronics from vacs to mowers, blowers, hedgers, drills, ... Not only good emotional rescue from resistance to chores but good for the planet when these tools can lead to a cooler planet if powered by solar and/or wind.

Will Replace Our Current Canister Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.QUICK REVIEW: I would rate the LG CordZero A916BM as one of the better higher end “stick vacuum cleaners” available today. This model includes dual batteries, dual charging capabilities, choice of wall or base mount, two power heads, and two crevice type tools. The A916 is very easy to assemble with a short learning curve. Three power suction options are a nice touch. Manuals are available online web based menu driven, or downloadable PDF. The only downsides worth mentioning are the required three monthly maintenance items (for extended life) and not having the LG Kompressor feature. I was able to use this vacuum over a 5 day period and overall I am extremely impressed with the cleaning capabilities, strong suction options, and excellent battery life. My wife and I have depended on and gone though multiple canister type vacuums over the past 50 years and had not found a stick-vacuum that would replace our current canister; until now. IN-DEPTH REVIEW BY FEATURES: ASSEMBLY: Building the base was simple and intuitive. You insert the Floor Stand Pipe into the bottom Floor Stand Dock and the other end into the top Charging Station. Note that you can remove the Charging Station from the Floor Stand Pipe if at a later date you want to use the Wall Mount Installation without the base. Per the instructions, I was able to remove the Charging Station from the Stand Pipe by pulling up, but I could not remove the Stand Pipe from the docking base. PORTABLE CHARGING STAND: The Charging Station has dual Tool Holders for two of the accessories (Combination Tool and Crevice Tool). But it would have been helpful if there was a third holder for the included Pet/Furniture Nozzle. Also, the second battery Auxiliary Charging Station is a welcomed feature. The auto charging circuitry will cease charging the batteries once they receive their full charge. No need to unplug this unit or worry about over-charging the batteries. DUAL BATTERIES: The primary nemesis of all “stick vacuums” is battery life. Including a second battery is one way to work around using these types of vacuums in larger homes and/or when activating increased suction power options for carpets. Plus the Auxiliary Charging Station allows one battery to be charging, while the other is providing power to a working vacuum. That is a nice touch. It is worth mentioning the lower power suction options allow for extended battery life for hardwood and tile flooring. ONE TOUCH CONTROLS: To start the unit, just push the Power Button. (There is no need to hold a power trigger button to maintain operation like some competitor’s stick vacuums.) There are three levels of suction and you can increase the suction but simply pressing the Suction Power Up (+) Button and holding that button for 3 seconds will activate the Turbo Mode. To decrease suction power, use the Suction Power Down (-) button. Can’t get any easier than that! TELESCOPIC WAND: This is a really great feature to be able to just use the release lever (Length Adjustment Button) to extend or retract the wand’s overall length. Much better than adding or removing additional wands. Note that if you normally use a longer wand length, you will need to retract it back to minimal length to store in the Floor Stand Dock. But if you use the wall mount (without the base), you will not need to retract the wand shorter. MAINTENANCE: Ok, this is where things get a tad complicated. I will admit the drop bottom to release the accumulated dirt from the Dust Bin is quick and simple. Just release and shake while dumping. But having to use one of the accessories tools (Crevice) to remove the Cyclone Mesh Filter is a bit more complicated. Plus the removal of the Exhaust Filter and Pre Filter once a month running all three of those items under water, then letting them dry 24 hours may be asking too much from some users. I get it; high tech devices require some additional servicing to keep them running in tip-top condition for extended vacuum life. Not a show stopper, just be aware that there is daily (dirt dumping) and monthly (remove three parts, rinse, & air dry, then reinstall) maintenance required. MANUALS: I’m an old-school type of guy and prefer a PDF manual (if not a hard copy) versus using online web based manual menus. Nice to be able to have choices!

Lots of Power. Great Battery Life. Easy to Use.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG A916BM has tons of power, great battery life, and only falls short in a few areas. When I'm shopping for a cordless vacuum, I look for 3 main traits: It has to suck, it can't be so heavy that I regret using it, and the battery has to last long enough to clean my whole home. The CordZero A9 checks all the boxes. The suction is insane. There are 3 power settings and I never found myself in a situation where I needed to use "Turbo". If I had to pick out one feature that impressed me the most, It would have to be the extra storage on the stand for the second battery. The fact that it can charge the backup while it's craddled in the stand is awesome (see pic). With both batteries, I am able to clean my 1,400 sqft home plus our 700 sqft finished basement. I would have rated this at 5 starts but the CordZero A9 falls short in 2 crucial areas. Firstly, the bin is easy to empty, but hair tends to get suck like on many cordless vacuums I've tried. There is no way to get the hair out without taking the bin apart or reaching your hand inside to pull the filth out. Secondly, if you have mostly hard floors, you will find yourself pushing medium to large sized debris across the floor. There don't appear to be any openings on the front which leads to awkwardly picking up the vacuum and setting it down on a Cheerio. Aside from those annoyances, the LG A916 gets the job done and it does it well.

Lightweight, good performing, versatile vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG CordZero vacuum ships with two batteries, charging stand with optional wall mount, universal nozzle, mini nozzle, spare pre-filter, crevice tool, and combination tool. Everything is easy to assemble and use. The charging stand is convenient, although in freestanding mode it can sometimes be tricky to ensure the vacuum properly aligns inside the slide-in charging slot. Three white LEDs on the vacuum indicate the battery level during use and charging status while charging. Both batteries were completely drained on arrival, likely in part due to the single-digit temps during delivery. It took a couple hours for each battery to fully charge. The CordZero doesn’t have any indicator lights other than the three battery status LEDs. Additional indicators would be helpful for determining other operational status, such as other cleaning modes. I instead rely on memory and motor noise to determine if I’m in regular or a higher cleaning mode. The lightweight vacuum does a good job on hard floors, area rugs, and low to medium pile carpet. Noise level isn’t bad and is comparable to a hand vac. Some hand vacs are actually even louder than this vacuum. The universal and mini nozzles switch easily and both work well on most surfaces. The wand telescopes for versatile cleaning angles and can be removed completely for hand-vac use. Suction power is good and on par with other high-end stick vacuums although not as powerful as a strong corded upright. The universal nozzle does a consistently great job but the mini nozzle can be lacking under certain conditions. I had to make several passes with the mini nozzle in hand vac mode to completely clean cookie crumbs that were dropped between the sofa cushions. I can typically clean similar spills with one pass of my dedicated handheld vac. The mini nozzle’s rubber blades are seemingly the problem because hard debris gets caught and stuck spinning between the blades without making it up into the canister. It’s only small hard debris like crumbs, seeds, pebbles, and similar items that occasionally does this. Corners and edges are also a weak area but that has been a common issue among every stick vacuum I’ve owned and seemingly with stick vacs in general. The soil canister does not fill up too quickly and does not require frequent dumping during use. The canister is also easy to open, empty, and close without making a mess. Both the cyclonic filter and pre-filter can be removed and washed. Battery life is okay in regular mode and I can typically vacuum the entire house with one fully charged battery. The inclusion of two batteries was a fantastic idea because using turbo mode is frequently necessary when cleaning, which shortens battery life. That is the biggest issue I had with my other stick vacuums. I was always forced to stop cleaning and recharge if the battery drained before completion because many stick vacs do not have a user swappable battery. With the CordZero, I can pop in the second battery and keep cleaning after the first battery is depleted. No more worrying if I have enough juice to clean the entire house. In conclusion, the LG CordZero is a solid performing and versatile stick vac. It can be used with the telescoping wand extended for normal floor vacuuming or collapsed for stairs and furniture. The wand can also be removed completely for use as a hand vac. The CordZero doesn’t have all the fancy bells and whistles like the Kompressor motor and LG ThinQ smart app compatibility found on some of its higher-end siblings. However, it is more than sufficient to get the job done in most households with hard floors, area rugs, and/or low to medium pile carpet. It is lightweight, easy to use, effectively cleans, and stores away neatly.

Strong motor for suction and simple to operate
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG CordZero A9 Cordless Stick Vacuum is a very useful home cleaning tool because of its portability, maneuvering, and long lasting run time. This vacuum is cordless and therefore allows for free mobility to roam about the house cleaning any debris I see on my floors. There are 2 rechargeable batteries included that can be removed with the push of a button. The 2 batteries should give you a run time of approximately 80 minutes all dependent upon what power settings you operate the device at. The CordZero stick vacuum is very easy to operate with a thumb control that allows you to power the machine on/off. And there are also simple thumb control buttons that let you choose your desired power level, and there is also a Turbo mode for some deeper suction cleaning. Simple one touch button turns the vacuum on and off, as there is no need to keep a button pressed for the full time of operation. The vacuum is lightweight and can be taken from room to room, and up/down the stairs with ease for our household. It glides across our hard surface floors and carpet floors very well. Easy to grasp and feel in control of at all times. This stick vacuum comes with the standard head unit that is meant for carpets and hard surface flooring. There is also a mini tool head that can be attached, which will allow for vacuuming in smaller sections like stairs or furniture such as a couch. There is also a crevice tool included and a 2 in 1 combination tool that has the hard surface nozzle, and can be turned into a soft brush tool. All of these items can be housed on the provided stand that proves to be very useful and adaptable to your living space. The stand acts as a charging base for your CordZero vacuum, as the power plug can be placed directly attached to the base. You can opt to drill holes in your wall and attach the stand to the wall, or you can let the sturdy base of the stand sit directly on your floor. The stand will hold the vacuum upright and keep it charged for future usage, all while giving you a placement for the crevice tool and 2 in 1 tool to be placed on it as well. Cleaning is an important part of my family's household health. This CordZero vacuum helps us to keep our home cleaner and dust free. This is especially useful as the CordZero has a 5 step filtration system that keeps 99.99% of the dust and dirt kept within the bin. The clean up process of the bin is a one touch button process and quickly dumps out the debris. The CordZero is great for its extendable neck and allows for people of various heights to operate it at a comfortable level. And a money saving feature I have liked with this vacuum is that there are removable and washable filters. By maintaining these filters I will hope to preserve and prolong the usage of my vacuum for years to come. The CordZero has a strong motor for suction and pulling up debris. Stylish and modern looks so it actually looks nice when displayed out. Ideal vacuum for most households and easy to operate. The only downside of this particular CordZero vacuum is the lack of up front LED lighting. For a high end brand name at this price point, I would think that LED lights would allow for the user to see more debris while vacuuming in low light conditions. PRO: Suction Looks Usability CON: Lack of LED lights to show debris on the ground

A great cordless vacuum!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleaning the mess around the home was never such easy and quick without this cordless stick vacuum. This is extremely lightweight which makes it easy to maneuver it to collect dust and dirt. Be it vacuuming on the stairs, or getting underneath the beds, or couch and chairs were never so easy, works really great. It comes with dual batteries, so it doesn’t run out of battery. I keep the second battery in charge while the vacuum is being used so that I always have a backup. I have a pretty long hair but these doesn't get wrapped on the brush while vacuuming. Removing the battery is extremely easy as it comes out with a small pull. It has a portable charging stand that stores the vacuum that too without any holes in the walls. Another good feature is the telescoping handle that allows adjusting the vacuum length for convenient use. It can also be converted into a handheld vacuum for places that are hard to reach. The best part is the suction capabilities as it is not a limitation of a lightweight vacuum. This has a few other attachments like a power floor nozzle and a power mini nozzle. It does use its job efficiently and keeps the home neat and clean. My only wish would be to have light in front so I can really see where the dirt is. All in all a great vacuum and so far I am happy with its performance. And hope this will last for many years to come and doesn't lose its suction power over time.

So Close to Being the Perfect Cordless Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m guilty of liking to vacuum a lot. There’s something instantly gratifying about vacuuming and seeing everything you’ve picked up sitting there in the dustbin. That’s why I wanted to check out the LG CordZero A9 and see how it did in my 1800sq ft rancher that’s mostly carpeted. I’ll start with my overall impressions of the vacuum and then break them down into sections afterward. Let’s get started! Overall Impressions: The LG CordZero A9 is a good vacuum, if not edging into the great territory in some areas. When you purchase the A9, you’ll have several different methods of mounting it, which is awesome! I opted to use the standing mount as I already have another vacuum screwed into my wall. You’ll also receive your typical crevice and brush tool, plus a handy pet head for upholstery and such. All these tools work great, but the standard brush head will be what you’ll end up using most and it works great, both on carpeting and on hard flooring. You’ll get 2 batteries, with one always charging on the stand (another awesome design feature), and a comfortable, well-balanced vacuum with excellent battery life. I was able to vacuum my entire house with just one battery on the “normal” setting. The A9 is ergonomic, doesn’t need to have a trigger depressed the entire time while using it, and comes with 2 batteries, excellent battery life, and a big enough dustbin to handle most single-floor layouts. It’s really hard not to like the CordZero A9. Setup and Installation: The CordZero A9 comes with several means of installation. You can wall mount it by screwing it into your wall, using the stand, or even having it resting on the floor. I opted to use the stand since I already have a vacuum drilled into my wall. Setting up the A9 was easy and I’m pretty sure anyone could do it without any instructions, but some are included just in case. You’ll have both batteries charging and the unit up and running in no time, especially if you choose the floor-mounted option. You’ll also receive an extra filter, a crevice tool, a brush tool, and a pet head, that’s super cool, but I’ll get into that later. Cleaning Performance/Tools: You probably want to know how well the A9 cleans, so let’s get into it. The A9 has very good suction, both while using the floor head and when using accessories. I had no issues vacuuming my standard pile carpeting and picking up a ton of dog hair and dust. The A9 also did a great job with my baseboards, leaving them clean when I used either the brush or crevice tool. Now onto the cool pet brush. It’s a rubber-finned accessory that uses static to pick up pet dander and hair. It picked up a load of really fine pet dander and dust from my couches, so much so that I was a little disgusted by it. I’ll definitely be using this tool more often. The typical use of the A9 will be with its universal cleaning head. This head is designed for both carpeting and hard floors, working well with both. I had no issues using it in my kitchen and it picked up just about everything. I believe this is due to how the roller is made with both a hard brush and a soft microfiber-type material. The A9 really excels in carpeted areas though. When set on Turbo, the machine will pick up dust and dirt just as well as most full-sized vacuums, but of course, the battery life suffers in this mode. I used it mostly in the middle mode and it worked very well on my carpeted areas. Battery life in this mode was about 20 minutes while switching it to low would get you 30+ minutes. Turbo has a run time of about 10 minutes. While the cleaning performance on hard surfaces could be a little better and doesn’t quite get to the level of vacuums with dedicated “fluffy” heads, the convenience of not having to switch heads is appreciated and the cleaning will be up to par for most people. Comfort/Convenience: You don’t think of comfort a whole lot when you’re looking for a vacuum, but it’s a bit more important with cordless versions since they tend to be a little more awkward to use comfortably. The A9 is very comfortable and has a good balance to it. There’s also no trigger to depress and that’s a great feature as after vacuuming for a long time my finger would get fatigued with my other cordless vacuum. Also, did I mention that the A9 is telescoping? Yup, it sure is. You can extend the main portion of the vacuum about a foot up or down and I love this feature. My wife is much shorter than me, so she uses it about halfway up, while at 6’0ft I just use it fully extended. It’s an awesome nicety that I think all cordless vacuums should have. Swapping batteries is super simple as well and very straightforward. You’ll have no issues swapping out batteries or putting them in the charging stand, which is part of the stand as a whole, so that’s also a great design feature. My only gripe with the standing base is that the vacuum cannot be docked in its extended position, so get ready to extend the wand every time you need to vacuum unless you’re short enough to use it at that height. My other gripe is with the dustbin. While I absolutely love that most of the unit can be washed by hand with warm water, I do find myself irritated with the dustbin as I’m used to one that has a slider to help clear it and this dustbin does not. It’s also on the smaller side, which wouldn’t be an issue if it was easier to empty. You’ll inevitably have to get your hand up in there to unravel some of the hair and loosen the dust that will get stuck up higher in the dustbin.

Good with some quirks
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG CordZero A9 is a lightweight and quite cordless vacuum with a few quirks! To start off with the good, the vacuum comes with two batteries, two washable filters and a stand for storage and charging. Both batteries can be charged at the same time with one in the vacuum and one in the stand. This is my first cordless vacuum with more than one battery and honestly having more than one battery should be standard for all cordless vacs in this price range or even a $100 lower. The battery life on low is very good, LG states 40 minutes and 6 minutes on turbo. In my combined use of low and turbo the battery only dropped one bar after 10 to 15 minutes of use. Suction on low with the power head was surprisingly good on carpets when vacuuming pet hair. I never felt like it wouldn’t get the hair up when using it on low. The times I felt like turbo was better was when using the crevices tool. When running on low the vacuum is surprisingly quieter than I expected. If you don’t want a heavy vacuum, this is a good option as it very lightweight. Now for the quirks. Emptying the vacuum is a lot more involved than it needs to be, especially if you’re vacuuming pet hair. Specifically pets that have the fluffy type of hair. The hair just won’t fall out when you open the door like small dirt and debris will. LG engineered the crevice tool to be used to release the silver cylinder so you can get all the stuff out. To do this, you take the tool, insert it in the bottom of the silver cylinder and turn it to release it. This with allow you to get stuff that won’t just fall out. Why LG did this is beyond me, it makes where you almost certainly get dirt on your hands. I believe some of their other vacuums use a lever on the outside that you press to push the dirt and debris out. This should be something that’s standard no matter the price. The other quirk is the powered head, it doesn’t have little gates to let in bigger items such as stuff like cheerios for example. This can all be done using the crevice tool, but If you constantly have stuff like this to clean up and prefer to do it with the power head, it won’t be ideal. In summary, the LG CordZero A9 is a lightweight, quite vacuum with good suction and dual batteries. Depending on your use case, it definitely is a good option to look at. If you’re looking for something as a backup to your main vacuum it’s a great option.

Q: QuestionHow do you charge the batteries. Nice that it comes with two. Is there a separate charging station for the spare battery? Also, if I order this model, do I need to order bags or filters that need periodic replacements?
Asked by RS.
- A:Answer One battery is on your vacuum and the other is on the stand that plugs in. The battery in your vacuum will charge when you put it in its stand and the other battery charges in the stand as well and is full and ready when you need it. You are given two filters that can be washed.

Q: QuestionHow long does one battery last?
Asked by Kat.
- A:Answer I did not time it but I was able to vacuum 4 rooms and a hallway and still had battery life left. The best part is having that second battery ready to go if needed. As stated in my review, best purchase I have made from Best Buy. I do recommend it. Note: I did use turbo the entire time in all rooms.
