A: Of course not
Q: Will this work with a dimmer switch?
A: I haven't used this particular brand, but most smart devices will work with a dimmer. But why go to the extra expense? Always better to have an on off switch and leave on and use the app or voice to control. You'll need one or the other to change colors and brightness and use any of the other features. Plus if you turn off at the device switch, you won't be able to control anywhere else or incorporate into routines/schedules.

Q: Could the bulbs be used in an outdoor fixture?
A: They are for indoors

A: These are LED so they should last a long time assuming the smart part doesn’t I have several and no problems
Q: How long do these usually last?
A: I’ve had some now going on five years or so. I’ve had two older ones fail. LIFX replaced the first one no charge. The second one I replaced with one of these color bulbs.

It just works
Pretty easy to pair, works with Google after configuring as well. I really like the fade in customization in the schedule. It can fade on to a desired brightness over a custom period of time. I had to enable IoT mode on my ISP provided router to get 2.4 ghz working but that's nothing to do with the light- just trying to save the next gal some hassle ;-)

The best smart bulbs in the game.
These are by-far my favorite smart bulbs and the only bulb I own. I chose these bulbs because they can be configured using Apples homekit. I don't want my smart equipment communicating outside my network with anyone but me. These bulbs hit the mark. The lights themselves are high quality and perform perfectly even when my internet is out. I have three in my office and I can set my mood to whatever I'm feeling. I have a custom lighting hues configured for reading, gaming, working, and streaming content. I even have automations configured for waking up or when I'm out of town. They're very bright and the colors are rich and vibrant. As a product recommendation - I think they should put the QR codes on the lights themselves. You will need to store the QR code stickers in a safe space if you ever need to reset them. Once when I updates my Apple TV I needed to reset the connections to my bulbs. This took about 3 minutes per bulb. Otherwise, this product is perfect.

Quality bulbs, finicky pairing process
The bulb was a bit tricky to pair, I set up them up with Apple's Home app. First make sure that your phone is connected to WiFi, then install your bulbs. Turn on both bulbs, open the Home app and click the + icon too add accessory. Scan the QR codes one by one, mine were stickers on the installation manual (I'd keep these QR codes in case you have to troubleshoot in the future). It took about 10-20 seconds for the device to pair. If you run into errors, verify your phone is connected to your home wireless network, power cycle the bulbs by turning the lamp off and on again, and try to add the accessory again. I'd give it 5 stars if I didn't have to power cycle the device & add the accessory two or three more times before having it show up in my Home app. This is a cheaper, bridgeless alternative to the more expensive Phillip's Hue bulbs. All and all for what you get at this price point I'd say it's worth it, even more so if you can get them on sale.
