Synopsis

Me, Myself & Irene
Six years after Dumb and Dumber, Jim Carrey reunited with Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly for this anarchic comedy with a hint of romance. Charlie (Carrey) is a good-natured Rhode Island state trooper who likes helping people. But years of internalizing his frustrations about his work and his family have caused Charlie to develop an alter ego: Hank, an abusive, violent, sexually compulsive police officer. Charlie can keep Hank at bay with medication, but just barely. When Irene (Renee Zellweger) finds herself in legal trouble through a series of misunderstandings involving her ex-boyfriend, Charlie must escort her on a long drive to New York for questioning. After Charlie loses his medication, he and Hank wind up vying for her affections: Charlie wants Irene to marry him, while Hank has more brutal intentions. Me, Myself, and Irene also features Chris Cooper, Robert Forster, and Jessica Harper, as well as Anthony Anderson, Mongo Brownlee, and Jerod Mixon as Charlie's rotund, African-American sons. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Me, Myself, & Irene is one of the raunchiest movies out there, and for a movie that was released in the early 2000's, it still out shines the competition. Jim Carry plays Charlie, a "too nice" Rhode Island cop, who's been a pushover his whole life. However, Charlie suffers a psychotic breakdown which results in a second personality, Hank. As a result, Hank takes over every time Charlie becomes overwhelmed with anger. This movie is worth owning, and for under $10, it's a must have for your collection.

Dont know what people want out of movies anymore. This is supposed to be a cringe humor filled ride through toilet humor and bad taste. Thats what you get. By the way the breast feeding scene is the best thing put on film in a comedy movie. Highly underrated and Renee Zellweger is a complete doll in this movie. Its worth a view!

    Not Carrey/Farrelly's best

I shouldn't have bought this film. I guess I remembered it be funnier than it was and when I saw that the blu-ray was on sale price, I said "what the heck?" Problem is, this movie blows. Everything from the plot to the acting is well below average and there is nothing redeeming about it. I'm not someone that minds coarse language but in this film, the mf'ing just goes wayyy overboard.

I was really enjoying this Jim Carrey comedy, up until the scene where his police officer character's alter-ego decides to help himself to some breast milk from a lady feeding her baby in the park. This movie's comedic elements are pretty distasteful and lack class.

Great comedy from the Farley Brothers. One of their signature movies, really there only last good one. Jim Carrey really shows his shtick in this yuk-fest. If you haven't seen this you need your head examined! Check it out.

I thought this was one of jim carrey's funnier movies. If you remember him from inliving color than this is pretty much how he was on there. I have watched this several times and still laugh.
