If it ain't broke, add a share button!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Microsoft has finally taking that if it ain't broke mentality and actually made the controller better. I have many controllers and have experience with the elite series Controllers and by far this is the best standard controller that Xbox has made. They have tightened up thumbsticks. The triggers actually seem Like they have shorter travel than previous generations. The view button is actually a necessity ring that it is cumbersome getting to the app to record in the middle of a game. Thank you for listening. I changed mine up to have white buttons, hairpin triggers and thumbstick tension! It's my best controller to date!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I just received my controller today and it was really easy to connect to console and it works perfectly but the rechargeable batteries that I have don't fit in the battery compartment at all. So now I need to buy other batteries again...

Best console controller yet.
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5One of the best console controllers Xbox could’ve created or recreated. The static grip on the triggers and down the palm grips are great especially for gameplay; sweaty hands won’t slip. Including the series x controller supports wireless battery charging. No more expensive double AA batteries. The original Xbox one controllers do not support self charging as the battery charger holder doesn’t fit on the originals ( ONLY SERIES X ). The Xbox controller home button is not bright.. it’s much more dim than the last Gen Xbox one controller because it’s a matte gray instead of the bright clear white Xbox symbol. The screenshot and record button is interesting; still getting used to how it works.. At first I thought it was a pause button or another menu button but a pretty guud integration. Including I sometimes accidentally keep pressing the button and screenshoting random gameplay captures. Overall a really guud controller. Personally better than ps5 controller.

Works great but connectivity sucks
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5I love this controller, the grips, the triggers everything, but there’s one error that’s got me wanting to take it back. The connectivity is terrible. Every game I’ve played tells me there’s no available controllers if I go idle for 6 seconds. (Base Xbox One btw) not sure about other people but this is really off putting. I’d recommend this to a friend but it’s in the middle since the connectivity is really rolling a pair of dice.

Posted .Hi there,
We're sorry there's an issue with the connection on your new Xbox wireless controller. Random disconnects can occur for multiple reasons, including low battery and competing wireless devices. We recommend contacting Xbox Support for assistance here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/wireless-controller-solution
Hope that helps,

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5My 13yr old son got this controller for Christmas and he loves it. While it didn't change much, only adding a button, the texture changed making it a better grip. He give it five stars!

Q: QuestionDoes this controller connect with USB-C? I think I see the port in the images, but can't confirm. I might want to get it for my PC.
Asked by Tajine.
- A:Answer Yes, this Xbox wireless controller uses a USB-C cable for a wired connection.

Q: QuestionDoes this controller have a built-in mic, like the ps5 controller? In fact, the only thing I see new about this controller is a more pebbled texture, slightly revised d-pad, and a share button, which Sony has had for years. Not groundbreaking.
Asked by UNCHeelYeah.
- A:Answer Thanks for asking! This controller does not have a built-in microphone, but has a 3.5mm stereo headset jack that supports most wired headsets.

Q: QuestionWhat type of USB connector plugs into this unit- USB A or USB C? If one uses a USB cable does that mean the wired connection makes batteries unnecessary? Does the unit come with any connector cables, like USB cables? What accessories come in the box?
Asked by gyeltsen.
- A:Answer It requires USB-C at the controller connection. Does not come with any cables. You get Controller and 2x AA Batteries in the box as well as some instructions that take you to a page 404 because microsoft has their head up their butts again.

Q: QuestionDoes this work on windows pc without a special adapter if it has bluetooth already?
Asked by Matt.
- A:Answer It's not working for me in Windows 10. Windows does not recognize it as an Xbox Controller in Game Controllers and Steam won't recognize it at all. Replacing a Series S controller that still works when I try it, analog is just super sloppy. Have ran windows update and Xbox Accessory App does not recognize Bluetooth. So it's really a mixed bag but at day of release, it's not working for me at all and is useless compared to the Series S controller that works fine.
