A Great Re-Release
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The original Mission Impossible is celebrating it's 25th anniversary with another physical media release but it's a good one.I'm upgrading from VHS so I owuldn't know but this is a new improved transfer for this Blu Ray release and it looks great. And some great special features. The decal included in this release is a nice touch. It's amazing that Tom Cruise has done six of these films with two more on the way over a 25 year period. But this first one has such a great a different feel compared to the sequels.

Incredible Transfer of a Good Flick.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As just about everyone knows that this is the first flick in the MI reboot. Mr Phelps helps the transition from the TV series to a new movie franchise. I liked it and I'm glad to have it in my collection. The transfer is incredible, and it's a pleasure to watch it from that standpoint. I'm not really sure why I didn't give it 5*s, but having seen all of the new series, it was good but not great. However, I'll rewatch it sometime down the line.

Mission: Impossible 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The image looks gorgeous. There's no mistaking its crisp, seamless cinematic bonafides. Grain can be a little heavy in select shots, but it's often very even, albeit well pronounced. It's flattering and gorgeously rendered. The 12-bit Dolby Vision colors are a great improvement over the Blu-ray as well. Whites are more intense and clean, flesh tones are far more balanced, and the entire palette enjoys a significant increase in color depth, vibrance, and yield. It's much more evenly presented. No new extras are included, but the carryover Blu-ray offers plenty.

A good beginning to a solid franchise.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this special collector's edition of Mission: Impossible thinking that the one that came in the trilogy three-pack had less features...I was wrong. This collector's edition had the exact same features only with a different cover. Lame. Now, the only upside to buying this movie after saying that was that this also came with a ticket to see Jack Ryan in theaters. So, spending 10 bucks on this movie and also getting a a free movie ticket was definitely worth it but I should have just went with another featured Blu Ray movie that offered the same. Anyway, if you enjoy these movies, I suggest just buying the trilogy three-pack or wait for the inevitable four-pack.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The original impossible mission. Cruise is the man. Great cast and Vanessa Redgrave as Max, a very classy lady. John Voight, what a career. The movie was beautifully done. All the stunts were top notch and action packed. Three thumbs up. Also a great buy on 4k.

Oh boy, it's here!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mission: Impossible has finally received the 4K HDR treatment, and man does it look spectacular with it! The previous Blu-Ray release didn't capture the charm that the movie had, but Paramount has righted wrongs and unveiled a more colorful and powerful film. The picture has greatly improved, with HDR giving the image such a great look and color, and the 5.1 audio track being as solid as it will ever be!

The movie itself is great and arguably the second best Mission: Impossible film! Definitely worth buying and watching!
