About the labels
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted rules that require fixed and mobile broadband internet providers to display simple-to-understand "Broadband Facts Labels" for the broadband internet services they provide. These Broadband Facts Labels are derived from a label template provided by the FCC and are generated by the providers.
On this page, Best Buy has compiled the resources to help our customers learn about these Broadband Facts Labels for the broadband internet services that Best Buy offers, which include certain prepaid and postpaid (contract) cell phone plans that include internet access.
Looking very similar to labels found on food packaging, these new labels must follow the template provided by the FCC, and "must disclose important information about broadband prices, introductory rates, data allowances, and broadband speeds, and include links to information about network management practices, privacy policies, and the FCC's Affordable Connectivity Program."
