Mortal Kombat 11 - Xbox One

I'm baffled at how amazing this game looks compared to MKX, and they're the same console generation. Character models and designs are awesome, it plays well. Some new mechanics take a little getting used to but you catch on fast enough (the dedicated block button threw me off for a bit). The story mode is great, well written and done, well acted (sans one specific voice that is super flat and boring) and it's just super fun and better than anyone would probably expect. Other game modes are great, and some tweaks have been made to the Towers of Time, making it better. The kyrpt is fun and grindy. Definitely give it a go, especially if you're an existing fan or if you just like over the top fighting and fun action.

honestly i'm not big into the mortal kombat games but bought this to try out since my roommate got it and we wanted to battle. the only thing that really annoyed me is how complicated it was JUST to play my roommate 1vs1, so many different places to go to find the category. then theres the controls that aren't 100% responsive when you hit them and then they reverse when your character turns the other direction so gets confusing. also you don't get many characters out of the box when you buy it so another downfall. anyways it wasn't my cup of tea but if your a die hard mortal kombat player then you will most likely love it.

Great entry in to MK series. Fighting mechanics are solid, and I am intrigued with porting the idea of characters having numerous skins a la Injustice 2. However, the aforementioned skins and fatalities are all locked via the returning krypt game mode. In short, the krypt requires games to grind through fights to accrue currency to use to unlock chests, which house a variety of useable items, skins, and fatalities. Fights give players very minimal rewards, which is similar to that of pay-to-play free games found on mobile platforms. Hopefully, Netherealms balances out the quirks with future patches for the game.

With this MK game feeling like a culmination of the past 8 years (since MK9), it is a solid return for the franchise. Microtransactions can be a pain, however, it should not deter someone from making this purchase, especially for those who have been invested with MK for the past 25+ years such as myself. The new characters were a welcome addition and the use of time travel was a great way to introduce a sense of "freshness" to the series. Already can't wait for MK 12!

I didn't think this series could get any better than the last game. The creators of Mortal Kombat 11 have truly outdone themselves again. This game takes everything over the top, incredible action, graphics, options, and the craziest experience yet to date, If you're a fan of this game, you must buy this one. You will not regret it in the least. This is one of my choices for action/fighting game of the year.

Yet another Mortal Kombat game! This closes out the story (re)started in MK9. It's also a very fight fighter in it's own right. Feels like a combo between MKX and Injustice 2. Had a few issues at launch (unfair challenges, meager rewards for unlocking stuff...) but it's already been patched and they're continuing to work on it. Wouldn't blame you if you waited for the Komplete Edition, but it's great fun already and well worth it.

My son, who's basically a fortnite addict, takes some time from it to play mortal kombat 11 story mode and work on mastering the each characters abilities. Just had family over and we (my son, his cousins, uncles & aunties) got together to compete against each other in this game. So I guess it's fun for the family, if you dont mind all the blood & graphic ways to beat/dismember/impale your opponents. Lol

I have been playing this game almost everyday since I got it. I have already unlocked 200 chests in the tomb and have gotten a lot of specials for the characters. The time towers are awesome. If you want to build up your coins quick you can use the AI and they will win the towers for you. If you are a true Mortal Kombat fan you will not be disappointed and the graphics are awesome.
