In this gothic romance set in 19th century England, a young man (Sam Claflin) falls for his alluring and secretive cousin Rachel (Rachel Weisz), despite his suspicions that she murdered his guardian after altering the latter's will -- or that she might be targeting him next. My Cousin Rachel is based on the 1951 novel by Daphne du Maurier, and was written and directed by Roger Michell.~Jack Rodgers

I bought this movie because of Rachael, and then I learn that this is a remake of an old movie. Without knowing how good the old movies was, this movie is surprising good and I enjoy every moment of it - highly recommended.
This film looks gorgeous on Blu-ray, lots of 19th century imagery and scenery. Love the fields and the ocean views. The story on the other hand feels slow and dialogue is barely understandable at times. The initial 30 minutes were confusing to me due to the quickness and lack of detail. Could've just been me, but I didn't enjoy this film as much as I wanted to.
