A: AnswerYes, but the magnification will only allow planets to look like stars or big white circles. It does allow you to see the moon and the craters. If you are looking to see objects such as the Rings of Saturn you would have to invest in a telescope with more magnification. We ended up investing in a better telescope since our 12-year-old daughter has taken an interest in space. Taking advantage of her interest while we can. We upgraded to a NextStar 4SE, and we still had to buy different strengths of eyepieces to see the Rings of Saturn.Answered by genphxaz

This telescope works great but the only problem is taking it outside all the time to get better looking viewing it’s pretty heavy to carry out all the time. But it’s worth it.
