I'll put it plain and simple, you'll get mixed reviews for this game. If you're a fan, then you'll like this game. If you're a FANATIC, you probably won't. I am a fan and truly enjoy this game. Fanatics will go on and on about how this version runs 30FPS and the X-Box 360 will run 60FPS, but I don't notice a difference. Fanatics will also complain of a lag between the controller and the game, but again, I either do not notice it or just compensate for it by reacting faster. Anyways, here are the pros and cons, minus some things I will probably forget
Pros:
Amazing graphics
Better game play i.e. gang tackling, more trick plays
Improved recruiting on years past, much harder, but I like the change
Saving video and pictures from games
Campus Legend Mode lets you start your career in High School playoffs
No more classic teams or mascot teams!!!
Choose what button you want to control what. If you want R3 to be sprint, you can set it as that.
Minigames. Tug-of-War is my favorite thing to do when I don't have time for a full game.
Amazingly real scenery in stadium and around it.
Connecting online gives your game realistic weather, i.e. if it's raining outside and you PLAY NOW, the stadium will be raining. Don't know too much about this because I don't have ethernet hookup right now.
ESPN live updates. see above.
Easy to upload rosters via website->flashdrive->ps3
HD compatible
Motivation factor helps team if a single person has amazing game.
Cons:
Only home and away jersey, no alternates.
Sixaxis control. Needs to be turned off before you play, unless you want it. When I was a linebacker, the sixaxis would make me use the Hit-Stick on accident.
Minor stuff, such as announcing mistakes "Team XX lines up and looks like they're going for the block" when Team XX is punting.
The occasional roster mistake, fixable via roster uploading or fixing yourself.
camera angles. Is too close up, especially in campus legend mode. You can't see the DB's or outside WR in normal play.
Formation subs are gone.
When reordering a depth chart, when you replace someone the bottom list of people automatically go from worst to best, a mild inconvenience, but not if you're sorting an entire roster
Lee Corso is still in the game

The Legend mode is great as it gives you a chance to create a player and allow you to build up its attributes as the season(s) progress.
The dynasty mode feature is very intricate as you go through a very detailed recruiting process.
One of my personal favorite features in the game is the saved instant replay option. I won a last minute Championship Game against UGA on a 92-yard screen pass (and this feature allows me to save that replay for bragging rights purposes).
I've always been more of a Madden fan as opposed to the NCAA titles, but I think this year this game surely beats its Madden counterpart.

Not the best College football game i've ever played, but it could have been worse. I love the graphics and I like the gameplay at times. I don't like the fact that every team has a horrible offensive line, they give up like 8 sacks a game. The players fumble the ball more than the real thing, but not as bad as the fumbles in madden. I like campus legend mode, but I think for 09 they can approve on that. All in all the game can be fun to play, but can be frustrating at times.

I bought this game because on PS2 I had 06 and 07. I have been a fan of EA sports titles for quite some time, since Madden 2005 to be exact. When I went to EA's site and saw all of the graphics and game play, I knew I had to have it.
The best part of the game is the fact that they have now added a superstar mode. You start out by filling in all of your information and playing for the state title. It was really cool because when I played for a high school state title in Wisconsin it played the championship at Camp Randall, where the Badgers play, and that is the actual location!
I started as a fourth stringer and by two months in I was able to make the starting lineup. Any football fan out there must have this game!

This game is awesome, out-of-this world graphics and the smoothest gameplay ever in a sports game, NCAA 08 is really a wonderful game. The online play is excellent, plus the superstar and dynasty modes are outstanding. The fun and knowledgable comentary by Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit make this game the best sports PS3 game, even better than Madden. The excitment of college football is captured in this title, with option and trick plays, rumbling stadiums, and momentum sways. The only downside to this great game, is the lack of player names. If you are an NCAA fan, then this is no suprise to you, but, the great part about this is, if you are a hardcore fan, you can enter the player names for your favorite or all the teams and they will stick. Corso and Herby will even say the players names once entered! ENJOY

This game is great. The graphics are amazing. Some people are saying they dont like the graphics but thats probably because thay dont have the HDMI cable. the legend mode is great. I would suggest importing your legend into the Maddaen Superstar Mode.

Great detail, good game.
Graphics are a little spotty, but the online play is amazing. Slow connections, beware however.
If you liked the older versions, pick this one up!

This game is great but I didn't care much for the Campus Legend mode. I liked the previous years campus legend better. Other than that great a must buy for the PS3 console.
