Q: Would these cameras work with my Swann 7250 NVR ?
A: Unfortunately, Night Owl is not able to guarantee compatibility with any 3rd party brands. Often, cameras and accessories of the same technology will function with our systems, but we make no assurances. We can only ensure that our products will function with compatible Night Owl product. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Q: Will these cameras work with my THD 80B-82-HIK DVR and if do you have cameras that will work it
A: No, these are wired IP cameras and will not be compatible with our wired DVRs. Please view the link below for compatible add ons. Thank you! https://nightowlsp.com/cam2pk-t8.html
Q: Are these cameras compatible with a DVR-X3-81-JF?
A: No, these cameras are not compatible with your current system. This 2PK is wired IP cameras, which is a different technology than your wired BNC system. Additionally, your current system is capped at 3MP resolution and these cameras exceed that resolution. Please contact our pre-sales department at 1-866-979-0580 or email [email protected] for more information on compatible products!
Q: Is there a 12 volt converter built in, or do I need to buy a converter?
A: These are add on cameras, not intended for standalone use. They need to be added to our IC8 Series NVR for usage. They connect to the NVR using Ethernet cabling and are powered by the NVR. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
A: These cameras are compatible with our IC8 Series 4K Wired NVRs. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
A: These cameras are only add-on for an NVR setup and will not function on their own. The only 4K outdoor cameras I found on BestBuy.com are all systems that require a DVR, NVR, or a base station. Most of those start around $350 and increase based on number of cameras and features. To keep in the price range of these add-on cameras for a system, you would have to look at 1080p systems. The advantage of a DVR/NVR system is that it has local Hard Drive storage and most can be accessed remotely via their app. Cloud based systems usually give a free trial for the cloud service before subscription fees are needed to keep that service. Many of those cloud based service systems are beginning to offer a free version of the service that limits the amount of stored video (Like the Amazon Blink)
A: The first answer is false. It has been down for well over a year already, how long are they referring to when saying it will be back up and running "soon"? Poor business decision not allowing new accounts!
