Perfect for the price
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. Can't beat the price. I used it for some Motorsports photography and I am very pleased with the results. Vs. my other more expensive lenses, it's a decent competitor. Highly recommend for both experienced and novice. Both photos I posted were taken from 100'+ away.

Q: QuestionWhat lens is best recommended for a Nikon D3100?
Asked by Ang.
- A:Answer The Nikon D3100 is not compatible with Nikon AF-P type lenses like the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300MM f/4.5-6.3G ED Telephoto Zoom lens. If you're interested in super-zoom lenses that are compatible with the D3100 camera model look into AF-S Nikkor type lens like the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR or the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED.

Q: QuestionIs this compatible with a D3300?
Asked by SuzanneD.
- A:Answer The D3300 would require a firmware update to work with AF-P type lenses. You can check your camera's firmware version off the setup menu (looks like a wrench icon) on the camera. It is usually the last option on the menu. It needs to be version 1.01 or later. See the enclosed link for more details: http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/174.html.

Q: QuestionWill this lens work with a Nikon D3200 Camera?
Asked by EndorianPirate.
- A:Answer No, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED Telephoto Zoom Lens is not compatible with the Nikon D3200 Digital SLR Camera. The D3200 is not compatible with AF-P type lenses as they use a new electromagnetic focusing system that the D3200 cannot communicate with. Lenses that will work on the D3200 will be AF-S type lenses.

Q: QuestionIs this lens combatable with the D700??
Asked by D700.
- A:Answer The 70-300 FX AF-P is absolutely compatible with the 700- I use it all the time on my D700- and yes, it is the latest 70-300 AF-P VR (FX, not DX, which is not compatible). You need latest firmware, only issue is when meter times out the lens goes inactive. I just set my meter to stay active longer.
