• No, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR Lens is not compatible with the Nikon D3100 Digital SLR Camera. The D3100 is not compatible with AF-P type lenses as they use a new electromagnetic focusing system that the D3100 cannot communicate with. Lenses that will work on the D3100 will be AF-S type lenses.
