Pioneer - TS-A Series 4" x 6" 3-Way Car Speakers with Multilayer Mica Matrix Cones (Pair) - Black

Installed in my 97 silverado they are good not the nest but good.

First and fore most doors are the worst placement point for front speakers, unless combined with dash speakers. The music comes out at knee level and has nothing to bounce off of except carpet, and vinyl, that do nothing but absorb sound. With that said I have a Pontiac with only front door speakers and I am so happy I went with the Pioneer TS-A 3Way Speakers. Normally most small 3 way speakers can not handle or separate the signal range properly, these 3 ways seem to do a good job at this with out rewiring or adding external amps to separate the channels and boost the signals. The second problem commonly found with small 3 way speakers is that the cones for each speaker lay over or in front of the other speaker and then block the sound wave of the speaker behind it.Yet again the TS-A impresses me delivering 3 sets of sound waves simultaneously and almost evenly. It delivers great mid-range and real good tweet with clear but not complete base. Three separate sound waves help elevate the music and makes up the poor choice of the speakers location. All and all a 4.5 star, and very comparable to a JBL. Please note I also bought a new head unit and a 50 watt boost so I am not certain this speaker will sound as good vs.. being a replacement speaker only.

These speakers fit great in a 1992 Chevrolet truck. These are small but powerful sound. The clarity is great, the way they accept balancing from the radio to have the quality sound is super. These were reasonably priced and just what we needed. I can't say enough about the installers that helped us to pick everything out and did the best installation.

Another case of I wasn't aware someone returned one of the two pairs I purchased they were definitely installed and removed and I was charged full price not only that when I finally got help I was told how great and much better then stock I had no problem paying more but was told to get these they aren't what I want but are pretty clear with less then 40 rms I have 50 rms per ch they distort more than I like but good down low

These have a nice clear crisp sound. Currently running directly to the deck, but will soon have a 4 ch amp hooked up to them, once that is installed I will update this review with more details.

My Jeep Wrangler is not a great platform for evaluating stereo speakers, lots of road noise and 5x7" speaker mounts don't offer much for high fidelity. However, these speakers have been fine for my application.

My old speakers went out and I replace them with this model from Pioneer they were easy to install all the needed hardware was included and they sound great the price is very reasonable I highly recommend them. Great sound if you are installing or already have a blue tooth stereo deck.

Pioneer is probly the only company still making 4x6 speakers. Dont quote me on that but they are hard to find, especialy for factory replacements. These fit perfect and do the job
