Description
The Polar Pro Aqua 3 Magenta Filter is designed for color correction while scuba diving in green water. The Filter simply snaps onto the GoPro Hero3 waterproof housing. This magenta filter reduces excess green which commonly oversaturates GoPro videos when filming in green water. Some great places to use the magenta filter are: Canada, United Kingdom, and some parts of California. Filter quickly snaps on/off Hero3 waterproof housing. Color correction for Green water. Working depth: 10 to 65 feet. Glass Lens for maximum scratch resistance.

Worked Great for St. Lucia Vacation

Bought this Polar Pro Aqua 3+ Red lens for our vacation to St. Lucia the videos turned out great. The pictures are even better, the color is crisp and clear. We snorkeled in water depths of 3' to 20' my only recommendation is put the lens on after you are in the water.
I had a few videos where an air bubble formed as the lens cap has 4 little air holes to let the water flow in and out so it won’t fog the lens up. Other than that I highly recommend this lens for snorkeling.

Took the filter for two scuba diving trips, the filter is excellent in deeper depth below 40ft. The pictures are a little red if taken at depth shallower than 40 ft.

Im a first time GoPro user and this accessory was very simple to install. It literally just pressure fits over top of the waterproof housing. i had to do my research to make sure i was getting the right filter since GoPro makes so many housings and i wasn't sure which one i had. but the footage was great for the area and once i put it on i didn't have to take it off the whole dive. saved me lots of time when i put my video clips together to show my friends.

I used my filter 50ft under water. The filter acts like a flash light correcting the cool colors (Blue) using red. imagine a spot light on a wall illuminating everything with in the beam and as you get out to the edges of the light everything gets darker. In this case the area outside the lens turns into a deep rich blue.
I would not advise looking at a cluster of coral structures on a sunny day too close with the filter. The suns reflection off of the coral will ruin your shot making it look really red.
Be careful not to leave too much slack on the string that attaches to your go pro from the filter, the slack will often float up in the view of your lens.
Filter will not fit over the deep dive housing which sucks!
I love the filter and I plan on buying more as back up.

Will not fit Black Hero3+ underwater housing

I bought this specifically for a dive trip to Hawaii. It arrived in plenty of time only to find that it does not fit my Hero3+ Black underwater housing which came with the camera. It is way too large. The description specifically stated to be used with Hero3+ underwater housing.

This is a great idea, I absolutely love these filters for the GoPro. Saves me so much time in post when i'm making videos from family trips and cool videos for my Youtube page. I've put this filter though a lot and its stood up to my clumsiness. The results are nothing short of spectacular. I went ahead and bought a few more filters from these guys.
