A:AnswerI had to talk to 6 different people before anyone would even look into this. Last week they finally bought me a new computer. What makes me mad is that they didn't even try until I went in super upset after repeatedly being told it was out of their hands. I'm more upset about the way things were handled
A:AnswerIf it isn't reaching full 100% charge, like stopping at say 95% or 60% and says "plugged in, not charging", it could be your battery is going bad. These types of batteries get worn out by two things: 1. High heat levels (so it's good to set it at a medium or low performance power level, not just to save electricity or the minutes you can run it, but also, the number of cycles it will charge/discharge. Also, with the chemistry in these, it's best not to let them drop all the way to 0%. Unfortunately, I'm having an issue with my charger, where sometimes, like after I unplug it after moving somewhere else, and then plugging it back in, I will have to actually unplug it at the wall outlet (or unplug the AC cord from the AC/DC transformer - that rectangular box that converts 120 volts at 60 hertz alternating current, down to 12 volts, 5 volts, 3.3 volts, or whatever the demands of the unit may be.
I would try a battery test if your unit came with a power management custom battery test kit. In Windows you can also check the power options by right-clicking the battery icon at the lower right portion near the date and time.
A:AnswerIf you purchased the Geek Squad protection I would say Yes. If the product wasnt abused or i.e slammed and beat on a table or something stupid like that.
A:AnswerHi there. Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about this situation! We'd be happy to take a look at this with you and see what we can do. We'd recommend heading into your local Best Buy store to get started. You can find information about your local store at www.bestbuy.com/storelocator.
A:AnswerTo get any Geek Squad Protection (GSP) plans that you’ve purchased cancelled, be sure to give us a call at 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (1-800-433-5778), and our phone support teams will be happy to assist you with the cancellation process.
A:AnswerGood morning. So I got tired of waiting for an answer and went to Best Buy to ask. I was told that there is no direct way to transfer the plan, but that if you give the recipient a copy of the purchase bill (whiting out the dollar amounts of course), they can use that to get service.
While that might make sense on some level, it is completely broke if you are trying to make an anonymous gift to someone (as is the case here). I would recommend rather, giving them a gift card for the amount and letting the receiver buy it themselves. BB might have some non-sense about buying support at purchase time, so YMMD.
Merry Christmas.
