You can upgrade the RAM, however the RAM slot isn't easily accessible. You will need to completely take the PC apart to get access to the main system board to upgrade the RAM. There are instructions on this as per the computer's service and maintenance guide on HP's website - just type in the model number (14M-BA015DX) and go to User Guides. According to the service guide, there are two RAM slots, but opening up the system specs in the PC it just says there is only one slot powering an 8GB Samsung 2133MHz stick.
