“I just got my new laptop today and it has no sound. How do I fix that?”

• I just got the same laptop today with no sound. what I had to do was uninstall all audio drivers from the ADD/REMOVE Program and then go to Realtek.com to download the latest drivers. took a few tries of restarting and installing the drivers and uninstalling but finally got it working.

• Make sure that in the sound settings the default devices are selected. Also check the device manager. HP Support or your Local Geek Squad should be able to assist you.
