That's the price you pay for cramming in fully spec'd i7 processor in such a thin and light machine. There's no room to manage thermals. But the payback is that it can handle any application like Photoshop or Premier that other thin and light laptops can't as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I love this laptop but I'm concerned. The heat get's really hot under the lower upper left side. I exchanged it and I'm still getting hot results. I took it to work with me (I work in a tech support center) it gets super hot when I play a flash game online or when I update windows. Yet I want to fix this. I really love this laptop but I have a broken heart about the heat issue. I was told all laptops this size have this problem. I don't really play games but I'd like to have the option to. 2-3 people said get a cooling pad or I saw someone on this sight talk about throttle stop. I'm willing to try anything. I know a simple solution would be to get a thicker laptop like the Asus Q324ua which I have and the screen cracked. But once I laid my eyes on this I don't want to stop plus I get 4000 more points on 3dmark. As of right now I"m keeping this baby. but I will have to spend the day at Best buy to see other 13 inch laptops Any input that I can do to make this the "perfect" laptop by getting rid of heat would be greatly appreciated
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey I bought mine two days back and had the same issue. mine was getting hot and fans running loud for no reason. I updated my drivers/ windows etc etc. I used edge for browsing and the only program open was edge. nothing running in bg. Still started heating up and the fan running. I returned and didn't wanna bother with the fan models because I heard almost all devices regardless of manufacturer have fan issues. So I went with a fan less surface pro. :D Expensive, but..I had some student discount, so I used that
