Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First of all, your car is locked before you remote start the vehicle. Then there is a 2 step process of keeping the car running before you can drive away with it. The transmission is locked in park, and the steering wheel is locked, so just jumping in and driving off with the vehicle is impossible. Plus If I remember right, your Viper system is registered on their web site and they can shut it down for you in the unlikely event a professional could make off with your car. I don't worry about anyone stealing the car, & I've had a security system and remote starter combination for over 20 years and no one in my circle has ever heard of a car stolen with a remote system installed.
