“I have a 7816V and the remote start is not starting my vehicle, so I believe i need to reset this. The book stated that I needed to turn start valet off. I have tried so many methods and nothing seems to work. Please help”

You might need to take it back and have them reset it. We (by mistake) put ours through the washer and had to get a new remote and Best Buy reset it for us
