Is the geek squad warranty transferable null

Transferring a warranty is not nearly as easy as this makes it sound. I had the receipt and the previous owners info, but that was not good enough. I had to bug the previous owner and have them call to transfer it. They told the owner it would take 2-3 days. 4 days later I called and it was not transferred. They made it sound like it would take 4 more days but gave me a case number and said they would be able to set up a repair with that. I was transferred back to the repair department and they informed me I had to wait for it to be under my name. Now I am stuck waiting until Best Buy decides I deserve to use the protection plan. Horrible customer service!

It's not transferable. I spent 2 month to call geek square and basically spoke to all departments including protection plan, billing, primary care, geek squad plan and so on. Most of the agent will give me a confirmation number and told me it will be done in 72 hours. And every time I call, the cycle repeats. So after 2 months and a few times three way calls with original owner, agent and me. The transfer case is still denied. After my 100 hours attempts on the phone, I finally understand that the phone protection plan cannot be transfered even though the bestbuy website said it's transferable.
