Unfortunately it’s only a total of 2 years. Geek squad covers the first and second year. The benefits are that geek squad will most of the time cover more areas than manufacturers warranty. Best thing to do is do your research on what is and isn’t covered through manufactured warranty and even check out what extended warranty is available through the manufacture

You have to remember to renew on the ending date best buy will sometimes send a expiration reminder email but I would not depend solely on it
