A:Answer Often this drive is hidden by the OS on new computers. The Recovery Drive only allows you to reinstall the OS to factory settings, so you don't need access to it on a daily basis (and it's better if you don't). The recovery process will still work the same way if you ever need to completely reset your computer. You can also download a recovery utility from Microsoft to keep on a USB stick, or contact HP Support for recovery discs.
